At the moment I am not sure at what point my Russian air units (and why is it only my Russian units that are affected) switch from Mission Only to Full Support. If it is after my turn and before my opponent's turn than I am in trouble. But if it is after my opponents turn and before my turn than I will be OK. I will just have to remember to always switch back before I end my turn.

Alvaro, do you have access to the pbem saves? Would it help if, with my opponent's permission, I gave you the password to my games?

Are you guys sure you aren't seeing the red triangle which represents low status (low health or effectiveness).

I'll ask my partner.

Could one of you grab the Beta and drop it over the files? Then test?

So, I confirm. This is not the red triangle. The "mission only" is coming back to "full support" automatically before Barbarossa.

I am one of Harrybanana's pbem opponents. I don't think this matters, but just in case... I've been using PanzerMike's map and units mod. I have used it since before any of my pbem games started though and we never had an issue before we got this far in.

Sorry, I don't know how to drop a the Beta on a file.

The scenario doesn't matter. It might be that if your plane gets too low it automatically converts to mission only so it doesn't auto fly and die.

I am fairly certain I added that.

My Russian aircraft are all at 100% effectiveness. And they aren't switching from auto fly to Mission Only; they are switching from Mission only to Full Support.

And their health wasn't low?

If health was low, why would they switch from Mission only to Full Support? That would hurt them, right?

Sorry misread. It went the other direction. I wonder if some files didn't copy over correctly.

Any chance you could do a clean install for me and test this? If it is true then something is off with the installer.

I have the same problem and USSR is still at peace because sveint hasn't DOW'd yet. All the bombers are therefore 100% for strength and cohesion, and we are both on latest beta. so it must be something else. I have steam version if that's relevant

I am playing in a mirror game 39 scenario pbem with Harrybanana and I finally remembered to check my Russian air units. I too am experiencing the same thing. I set them all to Mission last turn and this turn they are all on Full Support. It is March 1941 and no DOW by Germans yet. All are units that are in good order.

So wait is this before or after at war? Is it only when they are neutral?

I'm looking through the code and I find no place where it changes mission to support. I know we had this bug in the past but I fixed it.

I will keep looking though. I am hoping one of you will do the clean install.

Alvaro, I deleted the entire Warplan game folder and than did a clean install. In one of my pbem games I reset all my Russian air to Mission Only and at the start of my next turn they were all set to Full Support. I have done the same in my other pbem game and I am waiting for my next turn to see if it worked, but I doubt it. In that game Barbarossa has just started (on March 14, 1941 no less) so I should know soon if they are reverting to Full Support at the end of my turn or my opponent's turn

I also started a 1939 Hotseat game and played until January 1940. In that game my Russian aircraft stayed in Mission Only mode. So either the problem is with pbem or else it doesn't occur until after January 1940.

It would have to be with PBEM. But Hot seat and PBEM use same end turn routines. At least I can narrow down the search. Very odd as I nor my PBEM partner have this issue.

One more thing to check. This might be a graphical error. When it is your turn see if the support triangle is on but the mode on the unit data is still mission.

I can't find where it is doing this and I don't experience it in my PBEM games.
Perhaps this was a recent fix in the current beta and I forgot to put it on my fix list.
