Thanks for posting this, Pzgndr.

I remember seeing Wild Bill behind the controls of the vehicle he drove, and that was many years ago. Offhand, I can't think of anyone more prolific when it comes to scenario design for a number of titles. He gave his time, every person's most valuable asset, and did so with a real passion and respect for WW2 and its veterans.

I take great comfort in the fact that for people like Bill, this may just be the first "stop" in something much greater.

RIP "Wild Bill". I fondly remember the pleasure I had when his SP scenario disks (3.5" floppies) would arrive in the mail, and really appreciated his insights and knowledge when it came to WWII battles and campaigns.

I fondly remember Wild Bill advice and help when I ran into some troubles designing several scenarios for SPWAW many, many years ago.

Real sorry to hear this, worked with Bill way back with SPWAW, when it was still Steel Lightning, a mod by a fellow last name Grasse. Bill gave me my call sign, Warhorse. I remember him stating one day, "Mike is a workhorse, no, a Warhorse", so I took the name. RIP buddy.

I never met Bill, but I saw his name on quite a few scenarios and campaigns from various computer war games and even a couple of board war games. Reading his bio I was slightly shocked that he never served in the USMC, for some reason I always envisioned him as a Marine. I was quite pleased to hear he was a Missionary. I know based on what I read from his bio he is walking with the Lord in Heaven now, God bless and comfort his family.
