Great work again, thanks very much. A quick question is this latest patch cumulative, or do I need the previous patches also?

It is cumulative so you just need the initial GGEDBTR installed before installing the patch.

Hi There, First post but been playing the game for about a year on and off (used to have the old CD of bombing the reich back in the late 90's).

Been playing a 44 long campaign as I say on and off in version v1.03. I'm up to turn 170.

I just updated my game to version v1.06 and went to continue my campaign but I noticed all my scores were different ie industrial dam was something like -5500 or something and when I ended the phase it showed me as winning the campaign which before I was nowhere near.

I'm guessing with this new update I can't continue my old campaign which would be a real shame. Is there a way to revert my game to v1.03 so I can finish my campaign ?

If you still have the 1.03 patch you can just re-install it. It shouldn't delete your savegames during a reinstall but copy them to a safe place just in case. If you don't have the 1.03 patch somewhere you may be out of luck, but let us know either way and we may be able to dig something up.

Thanks for the quick reply simovitch. I found my old v1.04.zip patch and updated the game to this. Unfortunately when i tried to load a saved game it didn't load properly. One time it loaded at turn 170 but I was now playing axis (in my saved game I was allied), another time it loaded at turn 1 but also axis and times it wouldn't even load the game.

When i tried yesterday after the v1.06 update I was able to open the as allies at turn 170 (where I left it) but as mentioned things were wrong, industrial damage -10, campaign aircraft lost wrong et etc.

So basically I think I shall have to forget about the old game (unless you got any other ideas?) and reinstall v1.06 and start a new campaign. I'm assuming I can now unzip the 1.06 file and it will overwrite everything okay ?

Thanks for your efforts on the game and I shall get into a new campaign with the new update. I did notice when i tried yesterday I saw when you select fighter escorts you can now see if they have bombs or extra fuel tanks which is very useful as I swap out at times for bombing attacks.

I have been reading many posts here to get tips on playing the game so thanks to all contributors the likes of yourself, kaybay, techsgt etc

Because of the many new features added with each patch since 1.03, saves will not be compatible patch to patch. The one exception is 1.05 and 1.06.05 saves will be compatible with 1.06.08.

or install the 1.06 official patch, and then the 1.06.08 hotfix. The choice is yours, but we have come a long way since 1.03.

Thanks for that. I tried the 1.03 patch but same as before doesn't open saved game properly therefore I will reinstall the new 1.06 patch and start a new campaign.

Do i need to install 1.06.05 and then 1.06.08 and not just the later one ?

You have to do the 1.06.05 patch first, then the 1.06.08 patch. If you have any further questions regarding installing or uninstall please start a new topic on the tech support forum.[:)]

Its been delivered to Matrix. I think they got a lot of other stuff going on right now but it won't be long.

Any chance of making the auto upgrade a toggleable option? I prefer to manage only the 8th air force and I don't want to micro-manage the others. In that sense I miss the auto-upgrade feature.
