These are the updates for v2.3 of the Winter War TLD mod patch (it includes all the changes/corrections/new stuff of the previous patches) :

- Added Soviet Marine military ranks.
- Added Finnish Armored Units military ranks.
- Corrected all the wrong military ranks, both in Battlegorup screen and in game.
- Corrected the image of a Finnish unit (the basic one, not the WW2 one).
- Updated/corrected some soldiers uniform style.
- Corrected 81mm Finnish mortar weapon sound.
- Corrected 50mm Finnish mortar Data.
- Corrected Boys ATR soldier Data.
- Upgraded the two finnish ATR rifle teams (from 2 to 4 members; and about one of the team, from 1 to 2 AT rifles)
- Corrected minor things about soldier type in DATA (in the teams files).
- Corrected two teams.
- Upgraded/corrected some weapons names.
- Fxed a conflict of uniformity about summer/winter settings of the map (some were in summer style and it meant a confusion about soldiers uniforms).
- Upgraded many Battlegroups about the starting teams.

In case it will authorized an official re-build of the distribution file exe of the mod, when the patch will be tested a bit, I report that, together with the folders "campaign", "Ops" and "Battles", in the v 2.0 of this mod there are also two files in "maps" folder that should be removed: a graphic (jpg) file named: "M-line2" and the old CC5 file (modified for the mod) "Index.mpi" : they are both useless, so they can be removed without problems.

Welcome back, Master CCDrizzt. Unfortunately, I can't start the Winter War. The mod starts, but when you click on Play game to go to the campaign, it says that "Close combat was unable to open the file: C:Matrix Games\Close Combat The Longest Day\Mod_WinterWar\Data\Battles\Inkila". Game Version: 5.50.34. I first installed the mod through the mod 2.0 installer. Then I followed the instructions of the TLD Winter War mod v 2.3 patch, i.e. "Go into the "Data" folder, the one inside the main folder of the Winter War mod, and manually delete the following three folders: "Campaign", "Ops" and "Battles".
2. Go to this patch main folder, select all the content present inside the main folder of this patch and copy and paste it inside the Winter War mod main folder, overwriting all the exiting files". And also: files was removed: a graphic (jpg) file named: "M-line2" and the old CC5 file (modified for the mod) "Index.mpi". I would really appreciate any help.

Renamed individual characters of the file names of the Battles folder. For some reason I don't understand, the game doesn't see files with the characters "a" and "ö", replaced them with the standard "a" and "o". However, a new problem has appeared - No scenario files found. You need to reinstall Close Combat.

It sounds like an OS conflict with letters/alphabet: I assume the OS is set in your language, maybe a conflict of this kind.
Or an installation problem: try to uninstall and reinstall all (TLD, the mod and then the patch).

When you say "scenario" I'm not sure what you mean: all battles/ops and campaigns? Anyway, try to re-install all (and, before to reinstall all, manually delete also the remaining files: I mean the TLD main folder, if it's still there after you have uninstalled it).

I have updated the patch from v 2.3 to v 2.31. Just very minor adjustments, but you should re-download it.

Good afternoon, Master. Everything worked out. I changed the version from steam to gog. As for "o" and "a" - indeed, umlauts were not supported. I just renamed the names to the usual Latin alphabet! Thank you very much!
