if you had conferred with Jess and Goblin about me and mines...I dare say you would not have been so keen to alott me a mine quota! lol

:p
German panzers break through the skirmish line...but have run into a bit of trouble in the form of a mine belt.
Of course this belt is nothing as long as the Germans have engineers or even infantry to clear the way for those panzers...provided they don't get seperated from the panzers and held up a bit by MG nests that is. :p
The Poles wait for the coming storm.

Oremus:
Amen.

wow...things didn't go well at all that turn.
To my surprise a lot of my engaged units didn't put up as much resistance this turn....instead they seemed to take the fire and go into "shock"...if not routed completely. Perhaps I asked too much of them???
I mean, I knew this would happen eventually due to the national characteristics factors, but I was hoping to get two or three more turns out of my first defensive line units. Instead I will need to rethink my strategy and try to regroup quickly before the dam bursts.
Hmmm...quite suddenly things have gone far different from what I had planned for.
Ummm...

A note to Jim- I was beaten on the purchase screen by this clown, NOT the battlefield. Still, since I am four feet tall (an exceptionally tall and handsome Goblin), I don't suppose you can look up to me anyways.

As the Poles fall back into their middle line of defence the Germans feel more and more heat from Orzels damm mines!!! Many ACs die to them this turn...
On the good side...Poles are on the run!!! I start smoking the last ridge line!

for all that talk of bashing Polish units left and right...you are not as far into my defensive line as you made it sound.
Keep those panzers coming...even when the mines are no longer a factor you will still have plenty of Poles resisting you!

we are on the last 1/3 of the battle. Only 1/3 of the required VHs are in German hands. These Poles fight hard. Many more Panzers die to mines. The 2nd assault wave with fresh troops and Panzers move forward...and I have yet to hit F4..
I resupply my ammo and start to select massive arty zones....the boys are set and there are yet more troops moving forward...
This turn is the beginning of the end...which-ever way it goes....
"so let it be written ...so let it be done"
daddy is comming home......

The fighting is intense...

My Poles fight hard to hold the line.
There are burning panzers scattered about the map...and German recon elements probe around...only to be whacked for their efforts.
Although my Poles may fall in the end to overwhelming firepower and numbers...they will make any German success a costly one.

More and more Panzers die in the assault. German and Polish engineers enter hand to hand with the Poles comming out on top! These Polish fighters are starting to get a little respect from me..their tanks still suck;)
I make very little gain this turn and reinforcements are on the way!
