IMO, accept the minor convoy losses for now and deal out dreadful revenge later.
That is reassuring then, since I've eating those convoy losses with the same rationalization!
No sweeter revenge than sinking an arrogant UK carrier in the Baltic with just a sub and MB. They soon learn their lesson.
