I went to the WITE2 store page and grabbed the patch from there, it worked from there.

Download link does not work, it just brings me back to this page.
The download page on the "my page" is dated April 23 and says this is an open beta version?
I have the same problem, If I click on the link in original message nothing happens. I tried using the update app included with the game it fails as well.
When I updated from the load screen the first time, it hung. When I did it for a second time it gave an error message. The third time it worked fine. All that seems to be required is to " try, try again".

I have a Multiplayer game going on which I could not access without updating.
So I ahve updated and still cannot access the game from the server.
Any ideas?

maybe a silly suggestion but did you download this patch or the more recent 00.01.01 patch (see the other thread)?
if not, prob best to post in the tech support forum

Think I sorted thanks, had to update further to the new Beta version.
what if I now receive a turn from an earlier version of the game? can I still open it even though I have now updated to the latest BETA?

You can open saves from earlier patches, but if you save under this patch then it can't be opened in an earlier one

Maybe you have some download manager program? When I click the link it also brings me back to this page, as if nothing happened. But at closer inspection the file is being downloaded by Internet Download Manager, in my case. Maybe check your 'Downloads' dialogue in your browser?
