How do you send support units from a corp to their commanding HQ?

In the Commander Report (or in the counter card by right clicking the card) you set the Corps HQ so SuppL = 0 and next time you will click end turn, during the end turn calculations(logistic phase) the SU will be automatically transfered up the command chain.

Or open up the Corps HQ detail window - go to the Assigned tab - and then hit the x by the unit name.

(e) a few support units of each type are kept in OKH as replacements for depleted support units. OKH will be placed in a NSS so that support units could be refit very quickly if necessary; and

I am also interested in how other players handle their support units.
Hi there, thanks for the info. I appreciate that many. most of you guys know all the acronyms and often a little bit of thinking allows me to work them out however NSS has got me stumped. i have asked Chat Gpt and it says "NNS" likely stands for
Naval Support Ship
Naval Nuclear Submarine
National Narcotics Squad
National Navigation Satellite
Neural Network Simulator
Non-Native Speaker
National Nature Reserve
Non-Narcotic Substance

Can somebody enlighten me .. TIA and RAI and IHA ! ta

Answer here from the manual:

25.2.3. National Supply Sources (NSS)
The establishment of a rail network and connection to the
supply grid requires the tracing of a contiguous path of rail
line hexes (and/or port to port connections over water) to
a National Supply Source.

Hi, how do you deal with Support Units as Germans in the GC ?
Keep them in OKH, on REFIT every turn.
Except:
Up to 6 arty in the most active Corps.
AA assigned to the front line depending on what the Soviet air force is doing.
Combat SUs assigned to combat units as required.
Construction SUs used for depots and airbases.

There is a balance between having combat SUs permanently assigned and back to OKH every turn because of losing CPP, most of the time I keep them back in OKH.
