AUGUST 2, 1940

3 MS sunk and 1 U-Boat hit.

The British run away in France.

AUGUST 16, 1940

The Germans arrive at the gates of Paris and Rouen. Most British units embark for either the UK or Egypt.

AUGUST 30, 1940

7 MS Sunk. The Boche capture Paris, but Rouen is still in French hands. The British DOW Italy.

Not waiting for France to fall, the Axis mass on the Yugoslavian border.

SEPTEMBER 13, 1940

After Rouen's capture by the Germans, the French counter attack just fails.

The Axis invade Yugoslavia.

SEPTEMBER 27, 1940

The best turn yet for the Allies in the BOA. But note that there are already 6 German U-Boats in operation.

Vichy France is formed (of course), Vichy Syria is conquered by the British (of course) and Yugoslavia is conquered by the Axis (of course).

More unusually, the Italians park a U-Boat next to Gibraltar. The British attack with a CV and inflict some damage. But stupidly I failed to leave a naval unit in Gibraltar so I would stay in supply.

OCTOBER 11, 1940

The German Fleet comes out to raid in this game as well. The difference is that both my interception attempts fail to spot the enemy.

The Italians invade Vichy North Africa. The RN has better luck finding the Italian Navy. I decide to reinforce and defend. Probably a mistake, but we shall see.

Tech Advances. UK escort tech is doing well. But the Russians are doing poorly pretty much across the board.

Production

OCTOBER 25, 1940

A good turn for me in the BOA, only 2 MS sunk and 4 hits scored on the U-Boats. The main German Fleet moves to Bordeaux while the U-Boats move South.

The Axis reinforce Algeria; but I think my British unit in Algiers is safe for now.

My attempt to transport the Vichy unit from Tunis to Algiers ends in disaster. Oh well, I knew it was a long shot.

NOVEMBER 8, 1940

5 MS and an escort sunk. I forgot to take screenshots, but not much happened anyway.

NOVEMBER 22, 1940

3 MS sunk but also a whopping 8 hits on the U-Boats.

Time for the British to get out of Algiers.

Final positions. My units are strung out so I am not put out of supply next turn when Vichy North Africa hexes are converted to Axis control.

DECEMBER 6, 1940

When I opened my turn I was surprised to see Axis subs trying to blockade Gibraltar.

I moved a CV out of Gibraltar to make an air attack on the subs and was surprised by an attack by one of the Italian subs. Not sure if Sveint meant to have the sub in fleet mode or not; but if so he really should have been better rewarded for his audacity. I was lucky I think that the sub didn't badly damage or sink my unescorted CV.
