One thing to consider is reserves.

Who is better off?

Nobody ever won Hero of the Soviet Union from the Reserve Box....I don't commit depleted formations and there are reasons to keep units in the Reserve Box, but anything close to 100% has to get deployed to the map ASAP. Also have to manage REFITS in box so that rather than everybody getting to 50%, only some units get to 100% while rest starve.

But you have to get those men on the map

Another 10 miles. Rotating units and basically shutting off replacements and supplies to 16th, 18th,9th and 4th Armies plus 2nd PG starting to draw supplies from the Gomel rail head is helping keep 4th PG in good shape.

Most of the Panzer divisions also were moved south a few turns back.

AGC has to reclose last turns pocket, but forms another.

AGS does manage to form a small pocket.
