One of the great myths,(and much propogated by the media),is that the general population in prison hate child abusers.this is far from the truth.in reality, they fit in well with that population,of mother rapers and father stabbers, and yes, father rapers..
the bright point is that once arrested FOR ANY CRIME,(whether later found innocent or not),the arrest record stays for life..period......This alone marks the miscreant,(if nothing else does),and most states publish the list publicly of such offenders.
(One of my favourite websites is crimetime.com.(Go to the left of the main screen and find the button marked "free searches",(aka "black book online")..Look for the button marked criminal records,or state records....My state publishes the offenders,(and recently had to defend this action against the ACLU,a group of sycophants and traitors,IMHO)....
As for my personal (and prejuidiced) opinion,I believe public castration would go a long way toward "curing" sexual predators,if not of all predators,at least the ones that get caught..
And none of that "3 strikes" BS either....Once you know what kind of life the fella(not "man",but "fella" has chosen,I see no reason to give em any more free shots at the public..
I do not however condone vigilanteism whatsoever..Let the courts do their best..
If the courts fail,we get others to represent us who will make the courts prevail..
I fought for my country, and am sworn until death to defend the constitution, and I believe in the rightness of our founding fathers
and in our system of justice, but we must ever be alert for the trash who would usurp or bend the laws to further their own arrogance,"in the name of fairness"..
Jess,the law WILL prevail............

I was a prison guard. The general population DOES hate them. We had to put them into RHU for their own protection. Quite a few inmates are fathers, and they do not take kindly to these scum. It does depend some on the prisons organization. If the harder inmates (our D and E blocks) are placed together, then there is a better meshing. If they are placed into the general population, there is definately not a chumy relationship. I hope they stick him into general population, and let slip what he did.

Punishment?

As important as forgiveness is for the well-being of the victims (it is for the forgiver, do not forget), so is venting.

I'm sure our friends in the forum, including Goblin Hunter, can come up with some methods of punishment that might be construed as too good for a bottom-feeder such as this.

My limited imagination can only recall a shipmates punishment of being tied to a long rope strung from one end of the ship to the other beneath the surface of the salt water. Then slowly pulled under the ship's hull and across its barnicle covered surface. If the crime warranted, a second keel-hauling could be adminstered, while the open wounds of the first were inundated with the burning salt of the water.

While I do beleive that it is sometimes necessary to "cull the herd", death is often too simple a punishment.

Sign me up, Jess (6'3", 235#; wrestling, Karate, and pretty good at driving a nose right into the back of someone's head. A bullet's too good for this sumfabich.  )

You know where I stand, bud, behind you and a step to the left (avoiding your sword arm right now)

Maybe a miscellaneous e-mail or two to some of this fellow's future cell mates might make his life a bit more interesting in the coming years.

I hope Jenny has the strength (I know she has the support :) ) to move on through this travesty and continue to grow into a healthy life. Help her be strong and let others deal with the S.O.B. Karma will get him in the end.

Be Strong, Jenny. Be Sturdy, Jess.

You have our support.

Speechless here, this is so sick. Why would anyone want to hurt a young child like that? Jess, I wish you and Jenny all the best. I hope she'll be ok.

Sorry Jess, I was away for the weekend (as I explained in my email), but say the word and I'm on the next Metro to DC...

Now where did I put those rock salt rounds for my Mossberg pump? Ah well, flares will work too...

Jess, I'm sorry to read of your sad news. This is disgusting. I know little can ease the pain of your daughter, you and your family, but please accept our thoughts and prayers. I hope she is getting the help she will need.

My thoughts are with you and Jenny.

And I'm glad you've put the gun away. While I can understand the urge to use it, I'm afraid it wouldn't help much at the moment...

Jess...

I know what you're going through. The love of my life went through what Jenny did, multiple times, starting about the same age as her. She's recovering, as will your dear Jenny.

It will be difficult, but with a Father like you, I'm sure she'll recover just fine. God Bless, you're in my prayers.

Can't find any good words.

Such a terrible thing to have happen.

Your Jenny is in my prayers.

She's going to need you now more than ever.

Jess,

I just saw your post today.

My, and my family's, thoughts are with you, Jenny and her mom.

I feel utterly devastated that this has happened to child of a guy that I know, and I do not know how to express my sorrow.

Let us all find our strength and peace in Jenny who is, as you say, already thinking of other things. Kids are sometimes the strongest of us all.

I am glad that you have put your gun away -- I see that as a token of your stength. Jenny will need her father now.

Let the guys in prison take care of him -- they will! Recently a child molester was killed in a Danish prison. Apparently, the way for inmates to increase status in Danish prisons is to take it out on child molesters and their likes.

I will light a candle for Jenny with my family tonight.

Jess sue and i send our prayers to you. Im sure with a dad like you jenny will come thru alright. Although not the same my hatred almost got me into trouble. In 1995 in august of that year some low life shot and killed my oldest son. I went to court with a gun in my pocket. I thank heaven that my next oldest son caught me before i made it to court. I was not allowed in court to see the sob get 17 yrs for killing my son. My only hope is that i live long enough to see him if he gets out on parole or realease. Im sorry but i am sitting here with tears in my eyes. I know what you are going thru. It gets better but never goes away. All the best for you and jenny with all my heart jess.
