July 19 1940

I forgot Screenshots both July 5 and 19 but France will fall next turn as Rouen and Paris will be attacked from 3 and 4 hexes.

In Norway we have a disaster. Stupidly I left Stavanger with a coprs and left only a division, I had no clue that the UK had a Mech corps nearby. It promptly took Stavanger and now I will lose 2 corps in Norway. Sad [:(].

August 2 1940

The campaign in France wraps up. I am quite happy with it. I lost no units but also I only managed to shatter one UK inf corps.

Of course the Uk was busy in Norway so yes the campaign in France went fine but losing Norway will probably come back to haunt me later in the war.

My build was no air and only 1 sub. I built 4 arm and 3 mech so had 9 arm/mech corps altogether. I also built a lot of landingships like 80 or so.

Losses after the war in the West. Higher than the last game. The navla losses are 20 land in transports, 10 surface and 11 subs.

Situation in Norway.

September 13 1940

Invasion of Vichy North africa and also Yugoslavia begins.

Also advance a bit into Egypt but I dont have the forces to do anything here.

October 11 1940

Vichy Africa falls. As does Vichy France. But the UK response was quick and I doubt I will be able to get them out of North Africa so not sure if this was worth it.

October 25 1940

Advance towards Oran. I doubt I will even be able to get that.

November 22 1940

I attack the UK Mech corps. Cant budge it and there are a lot of UK units here even though intelligence says some are divisions.

Oran seems very far away.

December 6 1940

The UK actually retreats a bit. I almost sense a trap so I advance a bit and arrange the forces in a defensive line.

December 20 1940

The British actually give up Oran without a fight. I take what is given but feel a bit bad about it. I am sure HB have some evil plan.

Jan 3 1941

1940 comes to an end. Not much happening I overrun the UK division next to Oran and arrange mu units in a defensive line to try and hold of the allies. We will see how that goes [:)].

I will post tech forces and losses later.

Compared with the other game the Axis are doing about similar but my allies are doing worse.

Situation before the action starts. I feel lucky havent so far had any rain turns in May and June so thats why I start the attack as soon as possible but I think I regret it now. Waiting one turn for effectiveness recovery might well be an better option.

Guns start blazing in the east. The first turn always feels so anticlimatic it is not very impressive. I destroy 6 corps.

My secret in this game is the use of some German and Italian cav corps. The idea is the extra move might be able to seal a pocket. Also the plan was with the German cav to ship to Finland and maybe cut the Murmansk line in the winter. But as I now understand it the resources just flow in through Persia instead so that might be meaningless.

In the Mediterranean nothing happens. The British are moving closer to the Egyptian Libyan border.

In the east the German navy wins a decisive battle vs the Soviet navy in the Baltic. 9-0 since the Soviet ships only have 10 strength points it is almost gone.

On land I make some progress but I dont kill much as the Soviets retreat. My aim is more to try and destroy Soviet forces than taking territory but that isnt working out so well so far.
