You are not troubling me at all. In fact I'm very happy that you try to use it. I'm sorry for any inconvenience with using my programme. I will try to find some solution.
JAR file may be located in game directory or anywhere else - it doesn't matter.
Did you launch command line utility (with cmd command) ? If so, you may try just type java and send me a screenshot with result.

Hi Goran,
Please open command line again,
type
cd "C\Matrix games\Gary Grigsby's War in the East 2\"
then Enter
It should change your location to WITE2 directory.
Then please type:
java -jar WiteStaffMap-2.0.1-SNAPSHOT.jar
and press Enter.
Then please send me a screenshot of the result.

When having the command line, cmd.
That is
C:Users\pullman>
then I added as you said
cd "C\Matrix games\Gary Grigsby's War in the East 2\"
the answer is search way not found.

I'm sorry, I copied directory location from previous post but it was missing one sign - a colon.
Try this:
cd "C:\Matrix games\Gary Grigsby's War in the East 2\"

Hi!
Some progress.
Came to correct folder.
Added java -jar WiteStaffMap-2.0.1-SNAPSHOT.jar
Result was Error message but also the Staff Map Creator

That error is OK. It's just about logging which means some minor problems with internal diagnostic tools of the application.
Please try if Generator works with your Commander Report
I will look why it doesn't start with double-click nor right-click/Open with...

Here I uploaded to my game map instead. Worked fine.
Is it possible to upload to a map with a bit higher resolution
in order to easier read map names?

It's quite surprising that it worked with your map well.
If you send me clear map (without units painted) in higher resolution, I will see what I can do. In fact, I would be very happy to include several maps to choose from in my app.

Wow, TIFF file, very large, must be of great quality.
May I ask where did you get this map ? Is there more ? Maybe I missed some thread on this forum ?

Hi!
Its just the game map I play with.( Here its a part of the game map.)
Its the original game map with changed tiles, hex art, hex map-text files and added information.
Ex. regarding german naming, german fonts, further towns, villages and railway stations.
Nothing changed regarding game play. Added islands, borders, historical airfields, lighthouses and some minefields. (here also of course no influence on game play, so only more historical information.)
Added Longitude and latitude which in my opinion give further map authenticity.
Regarding tiles an important most valuable source is The Generals mod, especially the coastal lines.
One of my biggest interest is historical war maps. These are the base for added information. Have about 400 german war maps in paper original. Have found some with the same projection as the original game map which makes map work easier.(game original ??) The only strange thing with the game map
is that the central longitude line is long.10 and not as usual long. 20 for the affected area.

These types of german maps are difficult to get very clean.
Many are badly scanned, low resolution, folded or dirty from the start. This is the best with start Barbarossa borders.
Easier a bit forward in the war. Starting maps are based on long.20 and from in -42 long.39.
Used for many types of information ex rivers, airfields and so on. Parts of the maps were also used for
Lagekarten but those were usually in scale 1:300 000 and 1:1 000 000
