I've done a 180 on my wishes. I just bought CSV to support and hurry you guys onto CSEF3, but I've changed my tune. I'm mostly a WW2 guy, and I've tried to branch out it other wars but not with much success. I have taken to WW1 recently, but still struggle with the Civil War, Napoleonic's, and any other theater. Don't have to worry about Vietnam anymore, this game is good, real good. I realized I have enough WW2 games if I get that itch, and WW2 is something I always go back to but I'm ready to buy to CSV DLC, so hurry it up. I am also really, really looking forward to the CSME upgrade. If you get CSME the full CSV treatment, an already good game will be fantastic. I'll take CSME DLC also please.

Gotto go, my troops are stuck wading through some flooded rice paddies and it's almost night time.

I don't buy all the wargames I want, I just buy more than I need.

Not only his writings, David has also authored several dozen scenarios for CS:Vietnam, many of them French IndoChina War scenarios that you are enjoying in the game's initial release. Wait til you get to see his Laotian "Secret War"

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Laotian_Civil_War

scenarios planned for inclusion in a future DLC! And 1971's

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_Lam_Son_719

These scenarios are already finished, awaiting scripting and playtesting.

Great stuff!

The Laotian 'Secret War" wasn't so secret[:D]

I'm not familiar with "DLC". Looks like some add-on you can purchase. Help a rookie.

DLC = Downloadable Content.

Basically an expansion pack.

For some reason, DLC is now the preferred term for what used to be called "expansion pack". [8|]

My warmest thanks to David GALSTER of the CS Legion for the historical nuggets he offers us with the Diên Biên Phu scenarios;

for his booklets (PDF) too, that can be found in the 'Additional Resources / CSLegion Vietnam War Blog Posts' directory of the game.

Do not miss to read them, they are very well done and fascinating. I obviously do not forget all the other creators of the game and the scenarios,

because I am only at the beginning of the discovery. "Quel beau travail a été réalisé !"

[&o] What a great job has been done!

David is indeed a great chap to collaborate with. His various articles always provided an invaluable source of information. Trust me, I know 1st hand. ;)
