Lodrik continues to wreak havoc on my shipping in the DEI as the full weight of the IJN is in full force all around Borneo. However, our stalwart PBYs now based in Mindanao reap some revenge and sink something valuable to the Japanese. A small consolation to the thousands of sailors lost in combat over the past few days, but it's something.

Despite the situation all over the Pacific growing more untenable by the day, there is a small glimmer of hope. American torpedoes prove that they're not COMPLETE trash and actually score some damaging hits this turn. Unfortunately it's too little, too late, as Lodrik continues to draw the noose tighten all over the map.

Lodrik continues to push a carrier task force ever closer to Port Moresby and the Coral Sea, accelerating the pace of hostilities by 5 months as compared to the realities of history. We are scrambling to come up with a solution. Otherwise, things are relatively quiet on other fronts and we only lose two ships. Tune in to see the situation.

The dreaded strikes have commenced. Lodrik hit us at Surabaya, and pushed his KB fragment in between Port Moresby and the eastern coast of Australia, causing much havoc. However, our pilots put up a valiant fight and the sky was raining B5Ns! Elsewhere, we have a major victory in China. Take a look and see how we're pushing back against Lodrik's unprecedented aggression.

Lodrik continues his reign of terror in the skies over the coast of northeastern Australia. We take serious losses at Townsville and Cooktown, and there's no end in sight to the onslaught. To add insult to injury, an American president sinks!

Things are relatively quiet this turn as Lodrik starts falling back from the area around Southern Borneo and Java, possibly to lick wounds suffered on his costly attack on Surabaya. Unfortunately, the situation remains dire in Australia, with the Kido Butai fragment off the coast of Townsville contuining to cause us ship losses and showing no sign of going anywhere any time soon. Additionally, there was a major uptick in submarine activity, with a lone Japanese sub spotted and engaged near Rangoon, and a plethora of attacks on our ASW assets near Pearl Harbor. We experience another quiet turn, losing a few ships here and there, but we glean a lot of information. We continue to evacuate ships where we can and fall back where it makes sense, but like a dagger in our back Lodrik's Kido Butai detachment is sitting just 50 miles off the coast of Australia, threatening to flatten and sink everything up and down the coast. It may be time to push the action and send him a message that his presence is not welcome in Australian waters.

Lodrik's feindish bomber pilots were caught off guard and we sliced and diced enough Japanese planes down this turn to make THREE aces! Unfortunately our success in the air was paid for by serious losses on the ground. Additionally, one of our light cruisers in the Pacific takes a serious torpedo hit and its survival is now in question. Take a look...

The December 25th results are in! Despite the holiday, our brave soldiers, sailors and airman went to battle and delivered some presents to Lodrik's devilish invaders in the form of steel rain. Fog of war effects suggest we sank none of Lodrik's ships, but we think otherwise. Lightning didn't strike twice for us in the DEI. Carrier planes from the Akagi, Kaga and Zuiho were spotted and thwarted a second attack by our valiant seaplanes, causing many casualties. The Japanese surface task force south of Java inches ever closer to Australia. However, we deal a blow to Lodrik's sub forces harassing in the Pacific, and repulse a Japanese attack on mainland China with many casualties!

DISASTER strikes near Burma! Lodrik catches us red-handed moving troops into Rangoon and deals us a massive defeat at sea...thousands are lost! Near Australia, Lodrik's dreaded battleship task force makes landfall and proceeds to lay waste to everything in front of it.

It seems to work fine, I was curious is all.

The marauding heavy cruisers that decimated our transports near Burma last turn have vanished into thin air, but Lodrik's battleship formation near Perth continues pushing south, destroying everything in their path. In the Dutch East Indies, Lodrik's carriers are on the move and on the attack. In China, massive air raids inflict heavy casualties on our retreating troops. There's a lot going on all over the map... will we ever get a break?

Lodrik's DEI carriers are exacting a heavy toll as whatever can float is retreating from Surabaya. Our CAP fighters utterly fail in the face of inferior numbers. We have now spotted two large surface task forces operating near the Bay of Bengal, effectively strangling Burma. In the South Pacific, Lodrik's subs pick off the last of our supply ships trying to reinforce the isolated islands. Nothing good is happening for us right now!

What I thought was going to be a total blowout in the air over Surabaya turned out to be not as bad as expected. We take losses, but so does Lodrik, and his can't be replaced at sea. In China, an encircled unit breaks out of captivity and has a fighting chance to survive. In Perth, Lodrik's battleships run out of steam and we have a window of opportunity.
