Recently I bought The Western Front by Nick Lloyd. It’s an extensive look into WW1 western front campaigns and generals.
IF you want the most extensive detailed look then try Pandoras Box by J Leonhard.chee006 wrote: Sat May 28, 2022 6:16 am Recently I bought The Western Front by Nick Lloyd. It’s an extensive look into WW1 western front campaigns and generals.
Hey Orm, I rarely wander into the General Discussion forum these days, so just seeing your thread. I haven't read nearly enough on WWI, but one book I read and loved was Massie's "Castles of Steel". Great coverage of the war at sea between Britain and Germany. I'm surprised it hasn't been mentioned yet.Orm wrote: Tue May 24, 2022 6:18 am Thank you for all the nice book suggestions. I will soon order some of them to have for the summer reading. And hope to order a second batch for Autumn.
A great read. I forgot to mention it as Naval warfare isn't my thing to be honest, but you can't get a better vWW1 book on the subject.USSAmerica wrote: Fri Jun 17, 2022 7:11 pmHey Orm, I rarely wander into the General Discussion forum these days, so just seeing your thread.
