The installer file link not functional.
Downloaded update file and it runs but cannot locate the game on my PC. Disabled virus programs for installation.

I remembered I had the original installer from when I bought the game backed up to an external HDD so I installed from that.

The trouble with this approach is the 1.058 update will not patch the game if the version is below 1.040.

I had to scour the internet for 1.040 as it is no longer hosted by Matrix or if it is I couldn't find it. In the end I found it at Patches Scrolls.

I could then install the fabled 1.058 update.

After all that I kind of remembered why I stopped playing in the first place and decided to go back to the WarPlan and Strategic Command games.

And I'm sorry to shout but:

THE 1.058 SETUP REMASTER INSTALLER IS STILL CORRUPT AND WILL NOT WORK.

For the sake of everyone else still trying to install the new version I hope someone at Matrix sees this.

So those players who already have the game installed can easily use the 1.058 patch to update, but those of us returning players who need to install the game anew with the latest 1.058 installer cannot do so because that file is corrupt and will not install the game.

By the way, I downloaded the 1.058 installer (not the patch) from the Slitherine website and the same result: zip file is corrupt, game will not install.

Exactly my situation. Still corrupt.

Throwing in my two cents. Just bought it today, 7/14/22, and tried downloading it multiple times from both servers... .zip and .exe are all corrupted. Please fix!

The installer corruption will be fixed ASAP tomorrow. Apologies to all who have been affected.

The corrupt download issues should be fully resolved now.
