Rest in peace, Queen Elizabeth II. You led a long useful life, as was your reign.

I find this thread very political. One life is worth another.
And as a Frenchman, I don't know what a king is for.
Threads memorializing someone who has died are not inherently political and it's also in poor taste to jump into such threads with this kind of comment. From what I can see, the only attempt at politicization here is yours.
Queen Elizabeth was well-respected and well-known worldwide and it's not surprising at all or political for some to wish to express their sentiments or condolences here. I would also agree that as a public figure she tried and largely succeeded in being above politics. You don't have to share in that sentiment, but common courtesy would be that in such instances if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all.
Regards,
- Erik

I do not agree with you.
If you think my comment is political then cut to the chase and exclude me.

A single political comment does not lead to a ban, but it does warrant a warning, which is what this is.

She dressed nice.
Was good at shaking hands.
Excellent at waiving at crowds.
Good table manners sipping the tea.
Missed a few parenting moments.
Beyond that, no clue.

...and another one. A post totalling lacking respect or any class, a post that says nothing about Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, but everything about you. You profess to reading the bible and being a Christian, but if you do read the good book, you clearly have learned nothing from it. Well done.

I respected her and I always have.
Not that your opinion matters to me in the least, but she did have good manners plus a sense of humour.
Queen who? Her Majesty pranks confused American tourists

'long live the new king'
Not to mention US army in Greece. Very political.
According to wikipedia Tarkan concert for İzmir occupation from Greece (100 year celebration from 1922) part of that was from British Commonwealth supervisors.

While I am happy to hear from you again gamer78, and see that your long goodbye wasn't that long at all... I am not happy with this hijacking of the thread.
Queen Elizabeth II was the topic. Personally I think that it is sad to see almost anyone pass. I don't think that part of it is political at all. What they stood for might be. But their passing and a countries sorrow is not. I respect that. I think you might want to do the same, and stop hijacking these threads.

My father was Irish and therefore I am half-irish by heritage and yet, even with this kind of family background I would not write something so abhorrent in a thread for people paying their respects to a person who has just died.
I can't believe I even have to tell you to leave people to pay their respects in peace.
I am frankly tired of dealing with ceaseless reports of your toxic and inflammatory behaviour.
You've had 2 warnings, now it's time for the 1 month ban.
I hope this gives you some time to reflect on if you really want to be literally the most reported person on this forum. If not, It will be my pleasure to make a future ban permanent.

I can’t imagine what it’s like to have a Queen rule for 70 years and the effect on a nation of her loss. It does seem to effect all those folks personally in one way or another. I can only speak from a historical perspective and my view is her reign was long and from what I can tell she ruled spectacular compared to many.
So my condolences to all those effected by her loss, may she Rest In Peace.

Starting to regret creating this thread. A simple gesture on my part to in some small way honor a woman who spent her entire life in service to the UK and Commonwealth. The fact that she was not my Queen does not mean I can't recognize what she meant to them.
If you, and you know who you are, don't respect her, don't like her, well, you don't have to.
But at least respect the intent of this thread and not trash it.

You shouldn't regret it for a second.
She was very deserving of your effort and stupid people using their anonymity to make stupid comments doesn't change anything.

ernieschwitz sorry to disappoint.

I still stand about what I've said about this forum in long goodbye. off the topic- Sweden origin Paradox games developed Sweden, Polish lithuanian Commonwealth DLC after many years of EU'4 development cycle. Not in the first year of development.
For the topic I 've watched Windsor documentaries, Netflix episodes about Queen Elizabet II I've many sympathies about her polite and noble nature. It is something about her colonies to think of after. Not mine.

Nothing wrong with creating the thread Aurelian - quite the reverse, it was a nice thought. Just a shame that some are so determined to try and derail it.

You've repeatedly tried to drive this post off-topic and it seems you are also constantly saying that you are leaving the forums, too.
What does EUIV have to do with this memorial? Are you simply trying to provoke a ban?
If you want a ban, just ask for one. No need to collect warnings from me.

Hear, hear, I think the thread was well meaning.
It is unfortunate that certain people have shown such a complete lack of empathy, but rest assured that the rules will be strictly enforced in this thread. There is a time and a place being critical of the monarchy, but now is not the time and this is not the place.
