A very small error with potential larger implications...
On page 196, this sentence, "Not that after selecting any flight, it is possible to click the edit flightplan button at the base of the screen to make direct edits to the flightplan of that group.", should say "Note", not "Not". It actually changes the meaning of the sentence.

Thank you that helps a lot. Especially I like the tactics part at the end.
One thing I've found: In the Formation Editor section is no place button, that is only available in editor mode. It's kinda self explaining, but you should consider eventually.
Best Regards,

Documentation updated to version 1.28 (see top post).
This should be ~85% up-to-date with the revisions since Tiny. Enjoy!

Thanks!
If I may, it could be useful maybe, especially for returning players, if the appendix with the release notes was kept up-to-date. Not sure how big a task that would be.
Thanks for your videos, BTW.

Since no one seems to be updating this, I took a stab at cleaning it up a little...
- Update and reformatted ToC
Cleaned up a lot of formatting in the general text
Consistent formatting of section headers
Added a bunch of text in various sections to clarify text, add missed functions, and updated to beyond 1307 into the 64-bit version.
Added a cover sheet
Added credits from the previous manual
Added the symbol legend from the original manual
Updated the CMO build history
Attempted a FAQ section
Plus a lot spelling, grammar, and corrections.
I tried to take some of the original CMO manual, the updated one at the top of this thread, add in a little relevant stuff from the CMNAO manual, and added a sprinkle of my playing experience in context. This manual is not complete yet. Based on how frequent the devs upgrade the app, it will never be complete. But its usable. Nor is it official. I have received no payment or compensation whatsoever. I claim no copywrite and consider it governed within the framework of the existing Matrix/Slitherine IP legal structure. If anyone has an issue with this work, let me know.
For newer players, you don't have to read the manual. But All PDF viewers have pretty good search functions. Use them. The build history is one of the most important sections for info. Don't ignore it.

Here is the word doc if anyone wants it. The main advantage of the word doc, other than it being editable, is you can click on the header in the table of contents and jump to the actual section.

I just realized you can click on the ToC in the PDF and go straight to the section.
My work is based on the original dev's manual, coiler's long and little recognized work, pgat's recent work, and a few other tidbits.

You did a fantastic job on this thewood, I was going to do my next batch of updates to the manual now that summer time has come around, but you beat me to it!
I'm going to grab your version and add a few of the latest updates into it if that's OK. I would ask the community here and now about what they feel is 'missing' from the manual. I was thinking about adding a whole section on 'how-to' with specifics how to play some of the tutorial missions, but that might be a supplement.
Thoughts?

I'm more than happy. Here is my latest version with some more formatting cleanup focused on bulletted lists. I also added a section on decoys in prep for the 64-bit release.

My suggestion on the "how-to" and examples is to point them to videos. That way as new features are added or features are changed, only the videos need to be changed.

Some of the pics in the manual are very low res and difficult to read. Would it be possible to upgrade them?
Thank you
Here is an example.
