We both know he won't :) And besides, it's more fun to see him make the mistake of saving the new scenario over the other one, just to experience all his work lost when there is an update to the game :)

Oh, damn, I gave a piece of advice there... :(
Ernie, we both know how to do it, because od last 10+ years of doing such things...
He is just a new one. Not very brave, eh but newcomers aren't brave mostly.

:) ;) 8-)

PS: Ernie is right - save the scenario on different, YOUR name (WaR-my-super-duper-max-version-1a)

Do you want to make lib file corrected by master file?
I always say no ;-)
I've just changed it so I am not gonna re-change it to be the same as master.
So any idea why when I change the library file for the alliedmodels I get a duplication error and even if I say ok, the file is not changed. I ran a test to see if the 101st AB Regimental Artillery to see if it's jeep quantity changed, it didn't! Grrr! Any ideas?

Attach here your lib file and the scenario you want to put in. That's the fastest way. I'll combine them or not if it's not possible (this should be possible by the way)

I'm here every day and have been for the last year :). But I like to generally deal with things via PM.

If something needs my attention, because it violates our rules, use the forum report feature I shall appear.

Vic made it a complete mess - he always do it ;-)
It's his trade mark

And this is the result: both artillery regiments of airborne division (airborne and glider) NOW have 30 trucks (jeeps).
And the winner is me ;-)

To be honest: I don't know why airborne regiments had 20 jeeps vs. 30 of glider regiments. Not sensible at all. And I suspect that IRL they had those jeeps in sufficient numbers.
Anyway: jeeps should have different reinforcement type than truck or those units will accept standard infantry trucks too.

I got the files and they work great!! THANK YOU!!!

IMHO Both the 101st and 82nd motorized themselves buy hook or by crook. I bet not a single jeep or truck was left in Reims after those two AB Div. left town for the front!

This editor system need documentation! I noticed you changed the names. Can I change them back without screwing everything up?

Thanks again.

Yes, names can be yours ;-)
I use letters like A, B C on top of names to be displayed at the top.

.... documentation was not strong side of Vic' creations.
AFAIR there were no documentation in People’s Tactics in 2004, when I started playing Vic's games.
But he added some comments in editors, so let's be happy of it ;)

Houston we have a problem. I started a game with the new files. But on the allied turn when I go to place a road block I get a German unit instead of a Allied unit. Can you confirm this?

I tried the previous revised scenario and everything seems ok. Let me know what you find out. I checked the historical unit editor and the allied model file does have a road block and it's suppose to be American.

Yes.
There is wrongly imported library (by me).
There is error in allied library as it reports as Axis ppl (by you).
Solution 1: correct lib file.
Solution 2: import lib file as allied (instead axis as it says).

It works with S2.
