I just received a first PBEM game after five days of inactivity. I wonder if everyone didn't have problems yet.

Is WP the only game that can't get on?
I assume you have your login and password.

Did you have any previous settings on WarPlan you forgot to activate? Like "run as admin".
Did you set it as an exclusion through the firewall?

Was it Matrix or Steam installed?

WP is the only game on my computer
I obtained log in details prior to me reformatting my computer and they were correct.
I have inspected the user name and password again and have found these numbers after the full stop of my password.0000-0000-0000-0000-0000
Warplan is run as admin.
Firewall is turned off
Game was installed with matrix

The only thing I can offer is to remote into that PC and see what is going on. My previous job was in I.T. support.

Is there any security software installed?
If this is a prebuilt PC from say HP or Dell it will probably have some McAfee thing on it. That 100% interferes.

Did it by chance install the MyGames in onedrive? That is another issue that happens occasionally.

My computer is Lenovo Y700 laptop and McAfee has been installed and I have deleted it.

My laptop is a little old and it looks like a new one is required

Game is not on onedrive

C:\Users\"your user name"\Documents\My Games\WarPlan\playerData.dat

The file in the above location is different from my initial inspection.

The file when 1st opened looked like this

username.password.

It now looks like this

username.password.0000-0000-0000-0000-0000

This seems odd to me

It means it hasn't saved your login and password.

If you want PM me your email and I can remote in to see what is happening on your PC.

or at least send me a screen shot of this

The entire list so I can see what is installed. Might be something you are missing.

Im back with a new computer and with the same problems.....

If I recall correctly my player data file had incorrect information in it.

looking forward to going over all these steps once again...

Well it's either security software
Or poor internet connection
Or windows firewall
Run the exe as admin
you already did a new install.

Run the game, get stuck post up the player log.
