UK - BOA 5 MM Sunk and 1 Escort. Escorts are now being depleted far to quickly. 12 left...and they start arriving in March but that will not be fast enough. Two Divisions built. 4 Infantry corps now in France...though it is not looking promising. I suspect a quick collapse of France...very quick. They just do not have the troops to hold positions they are in now for more than a single week. I will need to split the UK units up so that they can dig in for the retreating French.
Also have to watch in the South...Last time the Italians smashed into the French and took the southern ports...which sped up the fall of France. Doubt that they will need to bother this time around. But pondering a UK small corps there that could run to Gibraltar when attacked and have a division there until France falls.

France - Small Corps built...only have 26 logistics left...so likely will garrison another unit to be able to build one last division.

Russia - Place another mountain troop...and gather taxes. Still 800 logistics...should be able to start building mech every other turn in 2 months...though will still need 10+ corps for reserves, hopefully 20.

US - Gather taxes

UK - BOA 2 MM sunk...escorts stay in port for now...as they Uboats are running on fumes. Build Small Corps, and begin mass replacements and upgrades.

UK - BOA the Royal Navy receives reports that the submarine pens at Kiel contain Uboats. They launch a bold attack with all their carriers and hammer the pens heavily damaging multiple Uboats. The UK continue to reinforce their units.

France - Digging in for a bad spring.

Russian - Disband a Mech build a new Mech...

US - Collect taxes

Canada - Collect taxes

Snow

UK - CVs return to base...no German air attempt to attack. Replacements are advanced and begin to flow all over. 41 interceptors are being brought into production. Hoping that the German science is behind. Uboats should end up in port for at least another month which will be of benefit.

France - Build Division..air are all upgraded to 40 interceptor.

Russian - Collect taxes. Science is lagging.

US - Collect taxes

Canada - Build escort.

Early April
Snow - Best we could hope for

UK - BOA quiet. Refits and replacements continue.

France - Upgrades begin on Infantry. Need rain or snow for the next two weeks because anti-tank 40 will arrives then. Due to the early battle France does not have an abondance of funds as they normally do, because of air repair and corps repair. But doubt that will matter. Just keep raining or snowing for now.

Russia - Disband Mech and build armor. Now plan to start on corps to start filling the gaps

US - Collect taxes still

Canada - Collect taxes and start replenishing their infantry corps.

UK - BOA - Uboats have left their pens...more than expected. The Royal Navy sets to sea. More replacements continue.

France - Upgrades finally begin for Anti-tank units.

Russia - Build small corps and begin replacements on units.

Canada - Build escort as one leaves the shipyard.

US - Collect taxes.

UK - BOA the Uboats are not found...nor do they strike at UK shipping. Norway is overrun but naval units report multiple German transports spotted. Ships are dispatched from Scapa Flow, though the surface ships are unable to find enemy transports the naval air units from the highly successful carrier fleet do not have that issue and sink a group found off Narvik...they are able to fish a few survivors out of the sea and take the prisoner.

France - Units crumble under the might of the Luftwaffe and combined arms of infantry and panzers. There is little hope to hold out through June...but French units will try to hold as best they can.
US - gather taxes

Russian - Some reinforcements begin and production of another small corps

Canada - Begins reinforcing their unit in Africa since France is in danger of falling quickly.

Late May 40

UK - BOA Uboats make strikes...4 MM sunk for 1 Uboat hit. The Germans send their surface fleet to intercept the Royal Navy and it gets decimated...the Scharnhorst is nearly sunk and a few German destroyers are. The Royal Navy search for the Scharnhorst and can't seem to find it. Not sure how this is possible but it happens. The RAF hold their own against the worn German Luftwaffe.

France - Forces just collapse. The Germans are not even making use of their armor which means that France's fall is likely before June. The Luftwaffed decimate the French airforce.
Canada - Replacements arrive in Africa.

US - Build 2 escorts

Russian - Build small corps.


- The early attack on Belgium seems to heavily unbalance France. With Infantry starting on the front lines France collapses far too fast.

Early June 40

France - Should fall early July. There is little the Allies can do with all the German infantry where they are. Paris will fall and perhaps another location...unless they get lucky. This early ability is far to powerful for the Allies.
UK - BOA a good turn indeed...5 MM sunk but 6 hits on Subs...Maybe get lucky next turn. Heavy Bomber with D&E arrives but just don't have the points to upgrade. Egypt is in danger...Just not enough forces to hold and take Syria...here is to hoping as we pull our corps out of France. Hopefully 1 or 2 can get to Africa before German mech / armor arrive.

Russia - Build small corps...and place another mountain troop and more AA by Leningrad.

US - Collect taxes.

Canada - Need to upgrade the unit in Africa as Italians approach. Expect Germans to arrive shortly.

Late June 40

France - Complete collapse...they will surrender early July.

UK - BOA - Uboats head back to port due to damage. Africa, UK is in trouble. They have not had enough time to prepare and multiple German armor have likely moved there. To add Italian armor and mechanized are there. Not sure Egypt can be saved which will cause the UK to sue for peace.
US - Collect taxes

Russia - Build small corps

Canada - Upgrade infantry in Africa and hope.


- With France collapsing in June...not sure the Allies have any chance at all. If Africa falls the game is over. Russia can not survive with the UK basically stuck in England only. Trying to get units to Africa as quickly at possible but they are not likely to beat the German armor. I can only hope they are slightly worn and supplies are low though I doubt they are. Germany had multiple armor that never even had to be used in battle.

Late June 40

UK - BOA quiet...Heavy Bombers strike Stettin and damage the Uboat pens. Africa is looking bad. Italian air strike at the UK navy and cripple the Repulse and damage the Nelson. Hopefully supplies are low. Cairo looks to be in trouble...there are just not enough UK troops in the area. More should arrive next turn..hopefully freeing up the armor which had to take Syria.

UK - BOA quiet...the RAF try another strike at Setting and lose that battle so ground the bombers.
UK begin forming the 10th armored corps.
Africa, the Royal Navy gets decimated...the Warspite and Sussex are sunk...the Revenge is crippled in port. There is nothing that can be done at the moment...the CVs should be there any day now...and things will change.
Alexandria is threatened...hoping that the forces and hold...the armor is nearly there.

-Africa is looking rough...hoping o hold out for another few weeks...and then the Germans / Italians will have to retreat.

UK - BOA - Uboats set to sea...Africa looks like it may survive...the Royal Navy CV fleet arrive and hammer the Italian battleships...crippling 3 of them.

Yugoslavia - Germany declares war. It will be a short battle. 5 panzer corps and an Italian armor pour in...the end is weeks away.

UK - BOA - UK shipping is hit hard...7 MM and 1 escort sunk, with 2 damage to Uboats.
Africa appears to be safe with the arrival of the Royal Navy's aircraft carriers...
UK declare war on Iraq and a corps moves in to attack their forces.

Russia - Build a small corps. 15 to 18 more smalls corps to build and 8 units still in the build queue....the Russian territory is looking very sparse.

- Russia...still torn. Basically 3 mountain vs 5 small corps. Since the small corps become half armies they are overpriced. To make an army you need 2 which is 240...that is for a 1939 army. You can have a 1941 mountain for the same cost. The one disadvantage will be ZOCs...And looking into a way to prevent mass surroundings by blocking units together. Just don't think I have time to test this.
Wondering if a game was played following the German timeline...how that would actually go? I know 41 would be very different. At least 3 less turns is huge. Not sure about 42 though. Interesting I do not read much about offensives in May by the Germans. They keep saying June 22, 41 was the beginning and then operations began in June of 42. I suspect mud was an issue in May but the game does not account for this, nor the state of oil in 42...which may or may not be an issue in the game.

Yugoslavia surrenders due to overwhelming armor

Iraq surrenders.

UK - BOA - 6 MM sunk to 3 hits on Uboats...still not a bad trade.
Ark Royal is fully repaired. Interceptors arrive in Africa.

- Sadly 2 coastal defenses vanished in Russia. I still have 4 in the production queue but 40 PP is never good for the Russians to lose.

UK - BOA - 2 MM sunk...
Africa is now safe as the Germans pull back.
Germany is massing on the Greek borders.

Russia - Build small corps. Stop all repairs / upgrade to get a few small corps built before the war.
