LT Best in a Slow But Deadly at Midway, three flights and three bomb hits, he was the only pilot to do that. One of those was on the Akagi, in fact the only bomb hit on the Akagi and we know how that went.

The Russians liked the P-39 with the wing guns removed. It was very good down low.

I use the Devastator on ASW unless I suspect IJN Battleships are close.
Seek peace but keep your gun handy.
