What's funny is that the Grigsby team came out with an American Civil War title in 2008. Gary Grigsby's War between the States. But it faded into obscurity pretty quick. Possibly because fans of his games prefer hex-based games over area-based ones.

We all want the Holy Grail. Division level War in Europe 1939-45. So many have tried. Some have come awfully close. War In Europe (SPI - 1976) was the first to do it, but with generic units. The Europa series (GDW - 1980's) created all the pieces necessary but didn't assemble them together (although some modders made efforts). But with 64 bit memory addresses now available, this is now doable in a way that board gamers and PC gamers in the 16/32 bit era could only dream of. We're all waiting GG! So close....
