This looks outstanding! I have been away from the Campaign Series for a while but I feel the urge to come back. And what a comeback it will be: CSME 3.0, CSV 2.4 and this incredible mod! Africa as a theatre of war is so woefully underrepresented in wargaming.

So true, that was my inspiration to start this endeavour.
I hope the mod will meet your expectations.

Hi all,

now that the update has been released, I was able to add the new OOBs of the Subsahara mod to the game.
After correcting some typos and inconsistencies in the timeline it works fine, thanks a lot.

Unfortunately, I can only access the new OOBs using a desktop shortcut (meorg.exe -W -X).
When using the buttons on the launcher screen, none of the new platoons is recognized.
Obviously the "no-encryption-mode" is not activated for this buttons. Same for the scenario editor.

How about now? I provided you with an email in case you want to have the Platoon files encrypted at any stage.

Like others before me have said, this mod looks amazing. I'll need some help when its finished on how to use it.

Very interesting to see some of these battles with these Nations.

That is how I learn history a lot (through wargames). This is a topic I am not familiar with and would like to explore and learn via ME.

Thank you, Zovs.

You won't need much help to use the mod.
You just have to copy the downloaded folder to your CSME\Mods folder and activate/deactivate it
with a simple mouseclick in the mod enabler (JGSME).

Thanks for the offer, maybe when all is completely set and done...so most likely never. :D

Hi
This looks really exciting. Once its released will we be able to use it to conduct PBEM games, and is their any chance of getting Cuban & UNITA factions ?

Kind regards
Ian

Hi Ian,

to answer you questions:

- PBEM: No
The H2H game modes are using the encrypted versions of the files, which the mod files are not.

Cuba: No (at least not yet)
Maybe I'll add units of the "Misión Militar de Cuba en Angola" to the Angolan OOBs at a later stage.

UNITA: Yes
Some basic UNITA organisations are included in the South African OOBs.

This is your baby so it your choice but I just think that work of this quality should be in the core game. Also these are nations that the game was set up for so if you allowed the team to absorb your mod into the game more nations and periods could be added to this and the other CS series games more quickly.

I will enjoy your mod in any case and hope to put together some scenarios to use it.

Kind regards
Ian

Yeah, it's a newborn baby.....and it's still crawling.
Once it is able to walk, we'll see what happens. ;)
