(This [or its successor] will also be distributed officially, but this is the fastest way to get it if you want/need it immediately)
Download: https://www.mediafire.com/file/getcnnmm ... 45.7z/file
To apply: Unzip on the public beta installation, overwriting the existing Command.exe (backup the original as always, just in case).
This is just for those who have updated to the beta on Steam. AFAIK, no Matrix version of the current beta is available right now.Mgellis wrote: Mon May 05, 2025 8:04 pm Sorry if this is a dumb question...is there a place where people can download the public beta (build 1638, I believe)? Or is this, right now, only for the people whose Steam copies have been updated? Thanks.
Backup your Command.exe in your game folder, just rename it to Command 1567.exe for example.Mgellis wrote: Mon May 05, 2025 8:04 pm Sorry if this is a dumb question...is there a place where people can download the public beta (build 1638, I believe)? Extract the file uploaded by Dimitris in your game folder, it is just Command.exe
Play the game, it should work. Just played one scenario without problems. If you have a shortcut probably you will have to create a new one.
And it is the best benchmark I got in my laptop so far, below 1000 ms for the first time, the fuse errors are gone.
In the first post new version of scenarios are listed, I guess we will have to wait for the official patch to get them.
If you note any problem is easy to roll back, just delete the new Command.exe or rename to Command 1645.exe.
And rename Command 1567.exe to Command.exe
This can be done but it's not always guaranteed to work. A lot of beta packs include updated DLLs which may not be included in every release.Nikel wrote: Tue May 06, 2025 9:10 amBackup your Command.exe in your game folder, just rename it to Command 1567.exe for example.Mgellis wrote: Mon May 05, 2025 8:04 pm Sorry if this is a dumb question...is there a place where people can download the public beta (build 1638, I believe)? Can someone please recommend a SAFE batch jpg-webp batch converter? Something that could do the entire community image pack in one go. I'm really leery to try out just anything that comes off of a Google search.SamSlitherine wrote: Tue Apr 29, 2025 4:43 pm * TWEAK: The unit-status thumbnail and the DB-viewer now use webp (instead of jpg) as the image format. (You may temporarily have a shortage of shown images as these are repopulated from the server on-demand)
So just to confirm, we will need to manually convert all the jpgs in the Community DB picture pack to the new format to keep seeing those pictures once this version goes live?
No, you won't need to. Command looks for the matching webp file locally first, doesn't find it, and fetches it (if it exists) on the remote server, just like with jpegs until now.Easy301 wrote: Thu May 08, 2025 3:35 pmSo just to confirm, we will need to manually convert all the jpgs in the Community DB picture pack to the new format to keep seeing those pictures once this version goes live?
I believe Beta 1645 has fixed this problem. It is on the first page of this thread about half way down.patpatpowercat wrote: Thu May 08, 2025 9:27 pm I cannot load any scenario after a save if the "ASCM Terrain Following restriction" is checked in the scenario features.
To test, I created a blank new scenario, no units, one side. Turn on the ASCM Terrain Following in scenario features. Save. When going to reload the scenario in the editor, while the load bar fills, it stalls out and never loads.
Anyone else seeing something like this?
The Drone Autonomy does not seem to cause this.
Thank you!FifthDomain wrote: Thu May 08, 2025 11:45 pmI believe Beta 1645 has fixed this problem.
