Looks great. Just to be clear - like WitP, it's wego, right?
We're typically adding some testers every week or two. We don't like to add too many at once, but generally if you apply and fill out the application well you should expect an invitation e-mail within two weeks.WaffenSS1943 wrote: Tue Sep 30, 2025 12:09 pm Hello guys,
How long does it take for the beta test reply (approval or not)
Jose Antonio .... presente

there are no tanksBenurH99 wrote: Tue Sep 30, 2025 11:55 pm This is going to be a disaster; there are no tanks, the fighting will be in the mountains; the Italians in Valencia are doing nothing, the Germans are in the air unopposed , and the ships are almost nonexistent; boredom is what it takes.
Unless Franco makes his foray into Madrid; the Republicans also advance on Madrid from the northeast and don't dig in on the Ebro.
SuluSea! Long time no see!
There's one day turns as well. It is exciting when you think of the scale and you can always mod the game....GPNazcatraz wrote: Wed Oct 01, 2025 8:28 pm While I'm excited to try out the new engine, I agree that Spain is not an exciting theater to play. Interesting? Yes, definitely. But just not as exciting as the real WW2. Since most of the equipment during that war was WW1-era.
Also, 1-hour turn is crazy but it's actually what I have always wanted![]()
1-hour turns would be amazing for the carriers battles or amphibious assaults in a WW2 Pacific game!!btd64 wrote: Thu Oct 02, 2025 10:00 amThere's one day turns as well. Correct, your problem, despite being Spanish, is that you don't know about the last civil war, nor of course about the previous ones. You don't understand anything, that's how it is.Piteas wrote: Wed Oct 01, 2025 2:56 pmthere are no tanksBenurH99 wrote: Tue Sep 30, 2025 11:55 pm This is going to be a disaster; there are no tanks, the fighting will be in the mountains; the Italians in Valencia are doing nothing, the Germans are in the air unopposed , and the ships are almost nonexistent; boredom is what it takes.

The SCW had hundreds of tanks and was a testing ground for armored vehicles, although SCW wasn´t the 41-45 Ostfront. In the SCW, every tank is valuable to preserve and its loss can be decisive. Furthermore it doesn't matter the number, but how you use them. The germans discovered this early on... and drew some very good conclusions for the WW2.
the Italians in Valencia are doing nothing
About italians in Valencia, I don't know what you mean. If you could clarify then it would be better for a solution. Maybe it is a bug.
the Germans are in the air unopposed
At the very beginning, but the republican player/AI can improve their planes and learn to fight them... as it happened in SCW.
the ships are almost non existent
I don't understand this either. The game has a ton of ships and they're necessary for the victory. The republicans depends on merchant convoys for supplies and weapons. Hunting them is necessary to nationalists and the naval battles/capture of ships is decisive in the game. Although the SCW was not the Pacific in 41-45, of course.
the Republicans also advance on Madrid from the northeast and don't dig in on the Ebro.
Why they should dig in on the Ebro? What is happening in your gameplay? AI follows its own tactics and it will try its best... surely better than the historical republicans.
Yeah but virtually unplayable for the entire war. A perfect world would be 1 day turns that auto slowed down to one hour turns any time a naval engagement was triggered in the search phases so you could play out the battles for that day tactically.Nazcatraz wrote: Thu Oct 02, 2025 6:55 pm 1-hour turns would be amazing for the carriers battles or amphibious assaults in a WW2 Pacific game!!
The game engine can do that for surface naval gun combat. Any day is a sequence of 24 hourly turns. Surface naval combat is done in time slices of 1 hour, with the combat being saved between hour turns. TF can leave or enter such a naval combat.Jim D Burns wrote: Mon Oct 06, 2025 9:20 pmYeah but virtually unplayable for the entire war. Your problem, despite agreeing to our rules, is that your being incredibly rude and hostile.BenurH99 wrote: Sat Oct 04, 2025 10:40 am Correct, your problem, despite being Spanish, is that you don't know about the last civil war, nor of course about the previous ones. f what's going to be done is to make a game, it shouldn't be like this; Spain has little industry; it should be the troops that are known in the archives, and if you want, you can add the option of slicing necks by Franco's Moorish infantry.
Esto va a ser largo
There will be some developers diaries put out, but I don't know when they're going to be released.Tom_ wrote: Wed Oct 08, 2025 4:29 pm I'd love to see some video's of the game being played - or mechanics being explained.
Are any planned before release?
