In my case some lag persists even after it's closed. I get some frametime hitches or something that aren't there if I don't open the tab in a session.

Although it seems inconsistent. I just had the lag, and opening the tab a second time (in an attempt to make it worse) froze the program up completely. After force-closing it and relaunching, though, there's no slowdown at all, not even while the tab is open - and this seems to be persisting through multiple relaunches of the game.

Are Steam Workshop scenarios being cached somewhere? I wonder if it's related to that somehow.

Perfomance degradation starts only if Im scrolling in active workshop tab. If I scroll for around 20-40sec through the all mission from workshop then it starts to lag. No, lag persist if I switch to another tabs(scenarios-save), I need to restart CMO to get rid of it.

When CMO starts lagging , 3D usage in performance monitor drops down and Frame Time jumps from 20ms somewhere to 70-110ms
