Just a simple question concerning the Western Allies.... How much is the US limited before they are actually attacked - Pearl Harbor ? Is the Lend - Lease available ? Can the US still lose units without going to war - historically Japan sunk several US destroyers off the coast of china years before Pearl Harbor and the US did nothing... Just wondering... Without limiting the US might, the axis will have little chance..

Politically frozen zones freeze all movement except supplies. This means that the US can still send supplies over WA transports that are out at sea. This means they can send supplies to England, and they can even send them to the Soviet Union and the Chinese, although this takes more effort. Combat units cannot move in these frozen areas, so US troops will not be allowed to move. The US can build new units and supplies, although their production is much lower while they are not yet at war, and they can provide resources to other WA factories as long as their is a transport link. As for losing units, no, the second a US unit is attacked, they will be at war. The losses the US suffered before PH were fairly minor, and do not add up anywhere near the amount equal to a combat unit.

Looking good. With all the fun I had playing Axis & Allies, this looks like a winner. Similar scope and scale, but done w/the 2BY3 attention to details. Looking forward to this as the counterbalance to WITP. I'll be buying both!!!

Looks like we could PBEM this one Mario [;)] The game looks like the perfect winding down game after heavy WitP testing. Anything with Mr Grisgby's name on it will bring out my credit card....

I'd like to look at the whole site but I only get to view about 1/2 of it. None of the keys move the screen and I do not have any slider bars(vertical or horizontal)

Joel:

Appreciate all the feedback you have been giving us :)

You mention that the game can be modded using the data files. Does this mean that the game turns could also be reduced to say, one turn per month without upsetting the game balance? Or is this hard-coded?

You mention that no documentation will be given to support modding the data files, but a brief summary of some important features of the data files and/or where to find certain data would be very welcome (after the game is released). It would also be helpful if we could be told what can, and what cannot, be modified.

Cheers!

Don't you get the little up down arrows to the right of the text? You can click on those to scroll the info text.

I'm not sure, but think the 3 month turn length is hardcoded. Don't know how easy it would be to change this. As for the data files, yes, I fully expect to give some pointers about which files contain the info and answer a few basic questions. I'm all for people making their own versions/scenarios, I just don't want people to expect to get a supported editor. With a little info from us, the basic rem statements in the data files, and some trial and error, you'll quickly be using the same tools I've been using to alter the scenarios (warning, it can be very time consuming, but nothing compared to doing a large War in the Pacific scenario from scratch.

For sure Dan [:)] You can count on me. In the mean time we could maybe do a little U.V.
