Any Idea of how big a download this will be?
Will those of us with Dial up connections be able to get it on CD? Not everybody has a high speed connection.....

There are only a few differences. And this KP forum has become a little quiet because the experienced players don't ned to ask questions.
Perhaps this forum could be renamed "Decisive Battles Series"

I have a question...
I did not expect this game (BIN) to be a part of the download line of products so if I instead order it on cd will I simply get a copy with a trashy cover in a CD box (like when you buy music) or do you still have those nice things Just Play used for the European release of Korsun Pocket or the even nicer packages used in the USA? (I have the US box for Uncommon Valor and it's nice)
I like in my games in a nice collection you see [:)]

<SNIP> .... Evolved Units can change their characteristics mid-game ... <SNIP>
Anyone in the know care to elaborate on this statement? Does this imply changing equipment or does unit experience/stats change over time?

In BIN, one unit simply replaces another, so anything can be changed. We use it to model the upgrade over time of Allied logistics. So the first Allied Supply Units that land are not very good. This reflects the fact that in the first week or so, most logistical capacity was devoted to landing follow up units. In game terms it prevents Allied players from simply racing off to Berlin the instant they had shaken the sand from their boots.
About Turn 8 or so, the old unit dissappears and a new one replaces it (in the same location). This Supply Unit has better characteristics, and can better support Allied offensives.
This process happens again about Turn 18, and these Supply Units can support any offensive operations. You can't get to Berlin, cause it's not on the map, but you can get anywhere on the map with bullets for all.
Also, should the Panzer Regiment of 21st Panzer Division live long enough, it gets an upgrade, as its crappy Czech tanks are replaced with Mark IVs.
This is just what we've chosen to do with the feature in this game, but the possibilities are endless.

The plan is to have the "backup" CD shipped in DVD boxes, complete with coverart etc.

I love Korsun Pocket but found the fixed resolution to be extremely annoying. I'm thrilled to hear that Battles in Normandy will offer multiple resolutions. Will 1920x1200 be among those supported? An increasing number of video cards and monitors are supporting 1920x1200 at the high end and it would be great to make use of my monitors full screen for this game.
Sincerely,
Rand
