My earlier PC could not get the sound right after about version 4.1. That system had an ISA sound card and it recently died a gruesome death after AOL v6 install program re-flashed the mobo. I moved to my kid's system with a pentium 233 and a PCI-grade Crative card. That system would also not play the sound very well even though I bumped the memory up to 256MB. That system also died when a memory manager program attempted to reflash the mobo.
I built my new system on an Asus A7V133 with an Athlon-900, 640MB of pc133 RAM (RAM is cheap. Buy RAM!) an integrated mobo audio codec and a dual display nVidia MX card so I can run diagnostics on a second monitor if I hit a game problem. I think that I may finally have a system which will enable the SP sound palett! I will patiently await the new software. Thanks for all of your work.
