german u-boats are enjoying a great harves on WA fleets. they cannot pay those foolish sailors enough to venture into the atlantic-i even sent 1 sub fleet back to German ports for R&R.

the irresistable force has just struck the immovable object. we struck a hard blow at those communist traitors on our Eastern flank. fotunately, my efforts at tac air and ftr air superiority have paid off and we have managed to scrap alot of soviet air forces. many soviet armies were destroyed as well but there are many more in the hinterlands. i fixed all rail links to strat rail more units in next turn.

a german call to arms has been issued forth-all men to serve in the infantry as a mass mobilization is in progress :)

Soviet Union - Summer 1941

As expected, the German onslaught hit our forward positions. While we lost the Baltics & some territory to the South, we did not lose any factories - which were immediately evacuated to the east.

Our tank armies moved to fill in the front line positions & should make the Germans pay dearly for subsequent advances. Winter is coming soon, as is our revenge.

Fall 1941 - Japan

- Bombed China again.
- My French Indo China base is as big as i need it to be.
- US Factories are gearing up next turn.
- I feel my paltry 13 to 14 production a turn is not where a superpower like Japan's [:D] should be at.
- There are 10 Resources in the DEI just going to waste.
- Maybe i'll take action soon.

With German subs moving their attention elsewhere, we managed to re-open the Canada-UK-Arctic-Russia conwoy route (pic below), thus bringing much needed supplies first to UK, and further east, helping our Soviet allies by transferring 12-some "truck-loads" (truck icons, where one truck depicts 5 supply units) to Archangelsk port. (Paullus didn't ask for additional supplies, so I guess he can manage on his own, but we sent him some anyway, as a gesture of good will between Allies. [:D] I mean, if we can't open the second front at least we can send him some trucks and bullets).

We can't wait to get US into full production. It seems to me that Japanese warmongers are about to repeat their historic mistake, and Churchill and Stalin are about to let out their historic sight of relief [:D] real soon, as Mauritojo amassed lots of units in Indochina. It'll be fun, and I'll do my best to show you some more a-historic variations to Overlord the moment I agree with Paullus on our common "Germany first" strategy [:D]

Winter 42 - Japan

Well with the US ramping up it's factories this turn, i felt it was time to grab all those resources in the DEI to up my production as well.

So first let's take out a few battleships at Pearl Harbor:

then it was time to jump on all the Resources (11 of them) to enlarge the Greater Co-prosperity Sphere.

After the regions were secured (with INF and Coastal ARTY) i spent 100 supply (*sigh*) repairing 10 of the 11 resources.

I sent a representative to the recent Allied leadership meeting with directions to fully endorse the "Germany First" strategy [:D].

Winter 1942 - Soviet Union

With the coming of winter also comes our counteroffensive against the invading German forces. We recaptured the bulk of the Ukraine & left intact our massive army there for further advances against our foe.

Additional troops reinforced our front lines for the coming spring campaign.

Right on time Maurice, as I just received WITP, and it gives me some funny ideas as to what I might do to you [:D]

Say, how about we take our little Pacific quarrel to WITP, and report back after some 5-6 years after playing the full campaign to the end (three times to be sure [:D][:D]).

OK sorry for some entirely off-topic, albeit funny posts, we get back to our regular programming [;)]

As you have seen, we have been viciously attacked, and backstabbed by Japanese scoundrels etc.

Anyway, we are beta testers for this parallel universe, so we read the script in advance [:D] Which is to say, we kinda expected it to happen. We expended some political points to replace pool ole Kimmel in PH, and Nimitz & his bunch are doing all they can to strike back at the Japanese. pH34r, I ar l33t n00bz [:D]

Our production is moving into full gear. We'll discuss whether to adopt "Germany first" strategy with Rooskies, but frankly, right now it seems like a natural thing to do (despite my bad WITP-themed jokes).

Our improved DD fleets managed to damage four U-Boot fleets this turn (for the damage to one of my DD fleets), making a life in the Atlantic temporarily easier, and further burdening the GE industry (damaged stuff goes back to production queue). Thus, we managed to bring more supplies to UK, and stage one of my personal favorite moves - invasion of poor old neutral Portugal. We'll do an un-holy buildup of immense forces in this poor neutral country and continue from there. I call this strategy "Peninsular war", and BTW we discuss it's nuances and possible need for tweaking on the beta board (so think twice before crying "hey!" [:D])

Interesting thing to note (though it's not visible on the screenshot) is that Portugal African colonies of Angola and Mozambique became Axis after the Portugal is attacked. No worriez though - no resources there, and regardless of that Axis has no transport ships to bring anything back from there so it's only eye candy until we assign some colonial militia to capture them.

We also transferred some subs from Atlantic shipyards to Pacific (via Panama canal). Japanese transports here we come [:D]

Screenshot below shows the invasion of Portugal and the buildup there. To computer gurus it also shows that I am using laptop [:D]

Spring 1942 - Japan

- attacked some Transports off the coast of Australia (sunk 2, damaged 1)
- rebuilt my supply stockpile (+50 supply). it doesnt do much good to have a Navy with no fuel.
