i was right
i transferred sum fighters and bombers around and they flew more AC
the AI tried a flank attack!
it sent an amphib force down the slot to Henderson and tried to land troops to take it
they couldnt unload and were bombd the next day as they headed back up the slot [:D]

the carriers are withdrawing to noumea to rest up and make sum repairs
ive detached a bombardment force from the carriers consisting of

4 DDs
theyre gonna make a few runs and see wat kind of damage they can do, and also see if the japs brought any CD units with them
there may be an invasion of munda
i plan to use the 1st marines if there is an invasion

im very glad that despite the fact that this TF was in a rear area i gave them good escort

thge japs have landed engineers at madang, on the NE coast of new guinea
in intend to make an amphib landing there sumtime in the next 6 months or so, along with landings at wewak
