I have a question on the addition of the 20mm on the Soemba. Sources I have found on the web indicate that these were added later and not in the beginning of the war. Do you know when they were added? I would say either in Bombay before leaveing to the Med in December 42 or in Portsmouth in March 44.

4800lbs for B17
To fly with normal loads: Size 4+bomb load/6500 round down
No impact? or you only need a size 4 airfield where you needed a size 5 before?

The Lucia was an old British ship converted to an AS before the war. It starts in Ceylon.
The Black Swan is a work in progress, its stats are virtually identical to the Hunt II that was already in the game.
I added the Indus/Swan class, Godavari, Jumna, Narbada, Sutlej, Cauvery, and Kistna, all Black Swans. The Avon, Awe, Derg, Findhorn, Parret, Plym, Spey, Swale, Teviot, and Trent, all River class. I addedseveral Bangors and Bathursts. I added the Barcoo, Burdekin, Diamentia, Gascoyne, Hawkesbury, Lachlan all River class. I added the Arabis & Arbutus both Flower class RNZN.
On the A6m2/A6m3 contraversy, you have to remember that the last 864 officially built A6m2's were trainers and float fighters not standard A6m2's. That does still leave overlap but according to internal Mitsubishi documents they were ordered in October '42 to replace all frontline A6m2's with A6m3's.

I kinda like this. It would allow Midway to be knocked down to a reasonable size 4 airfield, and put the airfield at Noumea back into the game.[;)]

Yeah, i did knock Midway down a bit so no more 300 plane Midways.
The Soemba questions all have to be directed to Don Bowen as my info on her was sketchy.
Elf: Thanks, I was working on get out the vote campaigns, education work etc.

That screen shot was from a new scenario that is being developed by a number of us on the Forum. There's a thread with some more data in the
Scenario Design / Game Editor section of the forum (called
Ron Saueracker/Tankerace/Don Bowen's Mod ). There'll be about 100 new classes (or more) in this scenario.

I'd guess you are right on the "added during war". I worked up the armament from an excellent on-line site:
http://www.netherlandsnavy.nl/
Both of this site and Conway just say "added during war" and I have no additional information. I simply set Soemba to this armament so I would not have to provide an upgrade class. Considering her withdrawal in 1942 it would be equally correct, perhaps even more correct, to leave her with her pre-war armament (same except no 20mm).

Great changes and updates. Thank you very much.
I notice that the Nevada class (1209 and 1210) and the Penn class (1212 and 1213) show Tower Armor as 38 reduced from 400 in other versions of this class.
Califorina class (1218) and Maryland class (1221) Tower Armor reduced to 127 and was 400.
Pensacola class (1225 and 1226), Northampton class (1229 and 1230) and Portland class (1233) Tower Armor reduced to 0 and was 62.
Brooklyn class (1243 and 1244), Helena class (1247) Clevland class 1249 and 1250) Tower Armor reduced to 0 and was 125.
Is that correct? I assume its in error, but wanted to check.

You talking refits? Many ships had light weight conning towers added in place of the original armoured towers. Weight saving measure. Most COs would not hide in there anyway. Expensive spud lockers.

I have download the new mod and checked the new ships that have been added
the only query I would have as you now made Chokai CA a class in its own right it is still pointing to Bit map 10 'Takao CA' perhaps TankerAce could create new 2D art for it and repoint to a new Bit map 13
I have already created a new 3D ship for it as Bit map 13- see below
For those who will play this MOD (A lot I would think) and are using the 3D ships no new ship class's have to be made all are already there

The tower armour is correct as Ron said, late war refits needed to get rid of top weight to balance out AAA increases.

I should also mention that the majority of ASW and Heavy bomber accuracy problems have been solved.
I hope.
Mike
MIKE.....This statement cries out for additional information.......Solved HOW?.....What
changes have been implemented?.....How were you trying to effect play to "solve"
these "problems"?.....Would you please elaborate?

OK, I see that farther on you have provided a lot of data.....And it seems that the primary
goal was to improve historical accuracy of the simulation.....This makes it something I
will want to try out.....Thanks.

Thanks for the good work. [&o]I'm really enjoying this scenario. I'm now at 12/26/41 with your scenario and it looks great.
One possible bug I notice was in China. Don't know if it is due to your mods or a bug in the game. I'm playing as the Japanese versus the AI. I captured Changsha and went to transfer some Sonias there but couldn't. Message kept saying "Not Allowed." Finally figured out that the base was attached to "China Army" as the HQ, not "China Expeditionary Army." No problem changing it over but noticed there was no "China Army" selection to change it back.
Anyways, no biggee. Wasn't real happy to see torpedo biplanes on the Zuiho but that's the way it was.
Now if you just do something with the AI![:@]
