We played in about 2.5 hours. Medium speed setting. It was fast and furious. Isacco played a good game - I learned a few things!

It's a great scenario: balanced and uncertain. Four objective (each 20 points total) and a great map (no bridge[:D]). I play with Axis. I have a Panzer Division and a very strong artillery.
I play only four games online and this is my first game with medium velocity: 2.5 hours of "high tension" and Dan is really a great opponent. I don't know who is the final winner between us in the tournament but I'm really happy to win this game against a good player like him.
I reaffirm that this game is a real gem in the world of computer wargames.
Regards,
Isacco

Yes, this game was extremely tense.
The 7th Armoured Division performed far above expectation [:@]

Well done guys. It's great to see the Tourney up and running. Many thanks to Yackstock for organising it and to JeF for posting the results on the Drop Zone.

I'm kicking myself that I didn't notice this thread a week ago [:(] (I've only just come back to the game). But, if there is a chance of joining the competition late, I'm very keen.

I have not yet played an online head to head game at all. This tourney will be my first time. Can someone provide some info on how to get an online game started. Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Mike

Check out the manual section on multiplayer games - there's some step-by-step instructions there. Also look at the patch readmes for instructions on BattleHQ (I think they have the instructions in them but it's been a while since I last read them).
Cheers

did you have any men left? [X(]
what kind of format is your screenshot? And what size? I think there's a 200Kb limit on the forum. Perhaps changing it into a .jpg will do the trick.

For screen dumps, you need to save them as jpeg at 72/75 dpi and set the lossy value to around 30% and that should get a 1024x768 screen dump under 200K ( I think/hope, oh well just experiment a little ). I use Painshop Pro and I've set up a script which does this for me.

Results are starting to come in on round 1, and Jef and I have updated the status at the Drop Zone to include losses. We are up to 18 players now too. Check it out...

Richard, did you throw everything including the kitchen sink to win that game? What a bloodbath on both sides. 11K men dead, 900 afv, 180 guns...

I was able to secure a victory as the allies over Eric in our first round. A little bit of luck and being able to dig into some good positions made it difficult to dislodge and secure the positions despite heroic attempts by the Germans. This is a great scenario and I'll talk more about strategies after we are all done...

As in real life, it takes a skilled commander to get the best out of those rather delicate British Armoured Divisions [:)]
