well, being ypu're from Columbus, why don't you mention the obvious to matrix games. I would already assume that they would be there this July.

You might want consider demoscene events. For example in Assembly (in Finland) is plenty game related discussion and events even though games are not the central point of the event (it is demoscene). Right now Assembly can be biggest annual demoscene event but it is also big game event.ORIGINAL: Erik Rutins
Please note that we are also interested to hear from gamers who feel that their local or regional con would be suitable for a Matrix Games demonstration table.
During this millennia Assembly has seen number of big names, like RJ Mical, who shared some rewards. In that year (don't remember which) highest award gone to demo which was created with Amiga. When Mical shouted "Amiga rules!", he got load applauds from crowd.
Visits by big names of Matrix, like Joel Billings and Gary Grigsby, would definitely promote independent game industry (if we call 2 by 3 independent...). Big companies go to E3 but in smaller events single persons are easier to be noticed.
Matrix might get even new flesh to grinder. If you got interested about DamoclesX becouse his work with mods, you might get interested about those people who do demoscene.

I would be interested in joining, although my participation would be limited to the Houston-Dallas-Austin triangle. I live in College Station, Texas (Yep, an Aggie), and am limited in ability to travel (My car is as old as I am, almost) [X(].
That being said, there is a yearly convention in Houston (NanCon) and College Station (I don't know the name of it, I just go). I am sure Dallas and Austin have stuff too. If you can hit me with a few more details, I will be glad to formally commit. I need to know the specifics before I give my word on something.
I have been wargaming since 1963. As far as Matrrix Games go, I have WAW, Krosun Pocket, Normandy, and TAOW3. I haso have the (Talsonsft) Campaign Series as well as Battle of Britan and War over the Reich. Also War In Russia. Some games by other unnamed bad guys, but my favorite by far is TAOW3. Much more experience in turn-based than real time movement. Favorite Boardgame Advanced Third Reich.
