I remember those glory days of Squad Leader, Strategy and Tactics magazine, AH's Third Reich, etc. In fact I have a collection of over 200 board wargames. Hmmm, so you just had your 40th... I'm over 50 but still enjoy strategy wargames and yes sometimes the wife does get annoyed which is why I appreciatte PBEM as I can better fit into my schedule of activities.

Yeah, I just got married (2nd time [8D]) and I'm trying to be better at restricting my gaming time.
My first game was Luftwaffe, then a used copy of PanzerBlitz.. still have both. S&T magazine was great for the small games included! Still have some of those as well.. BOAR...[8D] Good times....

Ahh, the good old days. "What's the facing on that tank? Okay, die roll of 6, - stacking limit, + defensive bonus, + weather, - morale....
Wasn't it amazing how spirited arguments could get over whether a shot would hit frontal armor or side?

Hey BarthHeart, you still have the S&T game Olympic? Or Operation Olympica (or something like that) the invasion of the Southern island of Japan.
I played it in like grade 10 & it made a big impression.
I had lots of games too

Now I buy them in thrift stores! I got Federation & Empire for $4 this spring! It was $46 in 1986...
