So there I was on a vital inspection tour of various South Pacific islands interviewing attractive native girls for a new promising career in the Military services industry… Errrr… make that recruiting talent for the next Pacific USO show when my Aide hands me an important note from Washington. (BTW- LST is not going to be happy when he finds his banner native boat crew has been reduced to one by my recruiting efforts)

It seems two fish head eating buffoons by the names of Mogami-san and Nik-a-Kaze have declared war on the United States and our Allies in the Pacific… Oh that’s just great…

Seems the President remembers me from his last visit to Manila (where he was provided with his very own private USO show [;)]) and he has seen fit to give me co-command with some Waco-Canadian-Crown appointee named Frag… command of the War effort in the Pacific… This is just my lucky day…

Well I am making my way from Bora - Bora which was nowhere near boring... to Pearl where I will meet with my new co-commander get an up to date briefing on what has transpired so far and then we can decide the division of labor… Should prove to be an interesting meeting (I hope he at least speaks American [:D])…

Updates will follow…
Admiral Pry -USN-

Post Script... Political Correctness Statement...

I apologize in advance to any fish head eating buffoons who might be offended by being lumped into the same category as Mogami-san and Nik-a-Kaze... No offense was intended...

End Political Correctness Statement...

Well, this is perhaps the very first time I have seen what amounts to 100% cloud cover *everywhere*. Really makes for some annoyed pilots on both sides I would guess ...

Apart from the Dutch sinking a sub and the invasion of a totally empty island, the clock turned.

Hi, When I-121 encountered the Dutch TF I was not worried. The Dutch DD have low experiance. The first few failed to find her and the next missed just as I was sure she would escape a barrage found her and down she went. In all 3 starts I-121 has been found right away. This is the only time she has been sunk but 25,66 is going into my book as a bad hex for Japanese submarines early in war. (While there are still alot of enemy DD in the area. ) I've already moved her in the turn 1 file for future games.
