Which leads me down another path. If smoking was banned in certain places (it's banned at practically all public places in Dallas thanks to our fascist mayor) then why not cellphones too?

Because militant non-smokers need one to call the cops when you only fiddle with a pack of smokes. It´s all about a lobby [;)]

But what if the smoker sees the tazer and first burns them with the cigarette? They might even get used to the tazer attacks after a while and develope an immunity, or if not that, then make sure and bring along a larger tazer (or a tactical nuclear missile) when they go out smoking.

You should all have watched the dreck TV show A Current Affair yesterday. They had the woman on and of course they tried to make her all sympathetic and shiat and kept showing just the tazing part of the video. At the end of the segment the host proclaimed the actions of the cops "insane".

Also yesterday a local cop got shot in the leg with his own gun during a struggle with a suspect. This totally suprised me because as everybody knows all suspects do exactly what they're told and never attack the officer or try to kill them.

The Facts:

1. It's south Florida
2. She was not complying with the officer.
3. It's South Florida
4. She swung at the officer
5. It's South Florida

She gets tazed 10 out of 10 times I stop her if I'm a cop.

Agree on the fascist mayor comment. I wish she was a nazi when it came to getting rid of potholes. My car feels like its aged in dog-years since I moved from the suburbs.

Well I know one thing for certain. Had she been a man and acted in the same fasion, no one would give a crap. In fact we'd all agree I think that he got what was coming.

Well, i do not know what to say. I'm really surprised that people can really argue if the cops did a good job or not. If he was gentle enough or not.
In my personal perfect world a citizen that refuse to follow the orders of the authority( in this case the cop rapresents the STATE) must be jailed. If he makes any resistance, jailed with force( taser,guns,Judo or whatever).
My phylosofy is that if your coscience(sp?) is clean, if you know you are the perfect citizen that follows the laws of the state as they were bible words, you do not have anything to be scared by a police-normal-control.
In my world those 2 cops should be awarded with a medal.
I'd have many more things to say but it's kinda hard to express them in english.
