CHS (with the restricted India HQ) has been released and is available at Spookys. A special AI version has not yet been fully defined. Ideas appreciated.
Err so the Anzac/Indian version has been released before the original version???

Yes, this is what we feel is our definitive version.
We believe that the new restricted command in India/Burma will keep the Allies from whole sale shipments of the Indian Army to Java in Dec 41.

So I take this means that CHS as a PBEM has taken priority over CHS as a vs AI game?
As this change has been suggested by the devs will screw with the AI....

I would assume that the "Final" CHS will be in sync with 1.6?
Getting ready to start a PBEM with CHS and want to be sure.

Am starting CHS as the Japanese against Sonny this weekend.
I had signed up for one as the Allies with Fallshirmjager but haven't heard from him in a month.
Could use a Japanese opponent. Looking for a PBEM?

Here is a question concerning the starting AA batteries on certain American ships. As an example the AK Kittihawk enters the game on turn 1 loaded to the gills with 40mm and 20mm aa guns (4x 40mm, 32x 20mm). Is this anywhere near historicallly accurate?? Ditto for some of the AP's such as President Adams (T22).

I've already answered for the Kittyhawk in another thread. I don't specifically recall on the C3-P&As but I assume the same answer - it's the best data I have.
If you have better data, please post it.

Not really sure. I think two games would be my max. 1 is sufficiently time-consuming, but I am itching to try the CHS in its finished form (as IJ). I think it would depend on how soon you were looking to start.
Work is busy right now and travel is relatively frequent. As long as you were willing to average 1 turn/day, less during travel, and only slightly more turns on the weekend I'd be up for it. I'd have two games going which would limit weekend turns for me.
I'd also have to sit down with the wife and have a long talk to get her ready...[;)]
10" CD and allied tank

I'm not sure where to post this, so I picked this thread.
If you look at the 10" CD gun thread in the support forum, you'll see the details to this particular message. In CHS, there is 1 more device that doesn't seem to produce. It's an allied tank, but I can't remember it's name. I just wanted to point this out to you guys so you'd know why it's not producing. (see the support forum thread).
Thanks, Brad

Yup, we have a M3 Stuart Light Tank (that upgrades to M4 Sherman) in slot 517. It was intended for the Light Tank Battalions incorporated into the U.S. Marine Divisions - they started the war with lights and upgraded to heavies.
I also notice that it was not fully implemented in CHS. The early Marine Divisions have blank weapons slots for the Tanks in the sure and certain hope that they would fill out from the pools. The later divisions still have the "regular" light tanks.
We can ignore the 10in CD gun in 516 as the next WITP fix will make it work (according to the support thread). I'll add device 517 to the fix list (hopefully we can find an available "working" device somewhere).
In the mean time, the effect is: 1st and 2nd Marine Divisions will have no tanks and the remaining Marine Division will retain light tanks throughout the war.
Tanks (er... Thanks) to Brad for bring this to my attention.

Don, just to beat this dead horse into submission....
the second one that can not be played with the AI as the
allied player, is that just for the
ANZAC/India area / regions or is that
NO allied AI for any region????
Thanks in advance.

I do not know. However, I need to point out that we only released the ANZAC/India HQ version as we thought that was the best one.
When we posted our design for the ANZAC/India HQ modifications the Matrix guys commented that it would probably confuse the Allied AI due to units the AI expects to be New Zealand now being scattered all over India/Burma.
That is all I know. If you were to play with ANZAC and India under human control I
ASSUME the HQ changes would not cause any problems. If also
assume there would be little problem with ANZAC under AI control - it is just the old Australian Command with some NZ units attached and would probably be assigned purely defensive functions by the AI anyway. As to AI control of India (which the AI thinks is New Zealand) - I
assume there would be problems.
Has anyone tried Allied AI with CHS??
