This is why I'll never get rich. It just never occurs to me that people would pay $10 extra for a cardboard box. Dang, I missed out on pet rocks too. Never believed people would by a rock.

the box does not matter but a manual does, especially for a complicated game like CoG,
a good manual is work the extra $10 to me

for comparision, can someone let us know how much it costs to print the pdf manual ?
(and no smart ass comments like it was free cos i did it at work etc [:)])

If you own a printer and just calculate the cost of your own paper and cartridges, it's approx. 5 cents per page and thus around $5 for the whole manual. And that's a generous cost - I think the cost is closer to 4 cents per page, especially given the cheap cost of laser cartridges these days. So that's only $4.

Spiral binding already-printed material costs about $3.50 at Kinko's (incl. tax). That includes sturdy vinyl covers. So you can get a full-sized, spiral-bound, vinyl-covered manual for $8.50, or $7.50 depending on how you calculate and what assumptions you make.

If you have Kinko's print it for you, the cost goes up to anywhere from $10 -$15 total (incl. binding).

I have a color laser printer at home but my per-page cost still is not much more than 5 cents per page.
