I am a fan of not knowing exactly when or where troops are able to move. I'm a big fan of Campaign on the Danube, and enjoy it primarily because it's the only operational game that has a good feel for, as you describe, 'friction'.
That being said, I don't think it should be possible to build depots where I don't have troops.

Usually? Don't underestimate yourself.
Don't feed the troll. If you ignore it it will eventually go away. [:-]

Plunder should occur at the beginning. But it may occur after surrenders and relocation of invading units; offhand, I'm not sure exactly when it occurs.
Precisely. And that is a large part of the problem. Even the support staff don't know how the game is supposed to work. It makes no since for plunder to occur at the beginning of the turn if depot and forage supply happen at the end.

Yes, by all means. Lurk in the shadows like the other yes-puppets.
Convince them to refund my money, and I'll gladly "troll" somewhere else.

Are you just clueless or what? You come off sounding serious and important yet at the end there's just dry spittle dripping from your mouth. Get a life buddy. It's never too late.
And yes I know but feel free anyways.

Yes-puppets?! Lurk in the shadows?! I "lurk in the shadows" because I don't have the free time to have over eleven hundred posts where I flame and bash and spew negative comments?
I've made far more CONSTRUCTIVE comments and criticisms of this game than you have. All you do is sling insults at the game's designers with no constructive input what-so-ever. You are nothing but a board troll hiding behind your internet anonymity.
Now run along and ask mommy to buy you a new computer game. Let those of us who enjoy the game despite it's flaws work with the very receptive game designers to make it an even more enjoyable game.
You're the only one asking for a refund, kiddo. There are many of us that are enjoying the hell out of this game. It sounds to me like the game's not so much the problem, but YOU are.
Maybe we should start that poll someone else mentioned?

One green button. One less headache to the world. Bye-bye, it was fun marginilizing you...actually he makes himself irrelevant.
