Things are moving along slowly. So far there has been no naval action to speak of.

The Brits managed to put some bomb on a few ships off Malaya.

Kuching finally feel today and I was able to move 2 squadrons of Nells and 1 squadron of Zeros to the base. This will give me a chance to knock off some more allied shipping. Troops hit the beach at Rabaul to secure a forward air base in the South Pacific. I want to keep the allies guessing as to where my next main push will be after that.

I am gathering forces to try for Johnson Island. It will give me a base to keep shipping near Pearl busy dodging torps, them if my luck holds out I will try to pick off Hilo.

Japanese forces are closing in on Clark Field and Manila. Clark will be taken first, the attack should start within the next few days.

Shipping in the DEI is under heavy attack from land based bomers. One Dutch CL has gone down so far the rest have been badly damaged.

Rabaul should fall by the 29th.

Those B17s took to the skys and ran before they could be bombed. So far they have only done some damage to an AP and AK. So far the only ship losses I have are subs. The commander of the airforces responsible for bombing Clark Field is now commanding a Recon wing in China.

Rabaul has fallen a day later than I expected. I have moved some LBs up along with some scout planes.

I have spotted the American forces near Borneo and was unable to hit any ships. Only 9 Nells went in after them.

I have noticed that my planes are not flying on a regular basis on there assigned mission. Except for Recon and a few Naval all other mission such as ground attacks are not flying. They are located at bases that can support the planes, also supply is good along with enough aviation support.

I am moving 1 DD and 1 AV out toward Johnson Island to do a little Recon before the invasion fleet gets there. They should be moving out in the next couple of days.

Well it is February 1942 and I have still not been able to draw the American carriers out to do battle. I have taken Johnston Island and have a base to attack shipping in and around Hawaii.

Manila is giving me trouble and Singapore is still in the allied hands. I have Lugnaville (sp) and I am expanding the base there. I will be reenforcing Lae and may try for Canton Island next.

I have just deployed the newly finished Junyo and she will be steaming to Truk in a few days.

In China: Yenan has fallen with heavy casualties on their side. (31757). All in all I would say it was a good day.

RE: Japan's Conquest of the Pacific (Adm Halsey vs Joliverlay)

I have not been keeping up with this post as much as I would like. I will try to do better from here on out.

The invasion of Johnson Island was a success. I now have an airfield within range of Hawaii. Now it is time to move my attention a little to the north. That will be the main objective with the diversion being an operation in the South Pacific. Espritos, and the northern end of Nouma are under my control. I have also landed a force at Gili Gili and I am waiting on the turn to be sent back to me.

I am not very good with the production and shipping of Resources and Oil but I am getting better. I finally figure out that the Auto Convoy system does not pick them up and transport them back. Took me a few turns to figure that out.

I have stepped up prodution on CVs to hope to have a shorter wait as the American CVs start to come in. Engine production is a different story as I have plenty of Mitsubishi and almost no Kawasaki. I am not sure if I sould convert some Mitsubishi plants over or not.

If anyone has any pointers feel free to post them. I guess I should take a screen shot or two.
