Sure, here are the patch notes for v1.006:
v1.006 – October 5th, 2005 – Update Release
1) All reported crash issues fixed
2) AI for cargo ships greatly improved
3) Improved pathfinding
4) AI is much more aggressive
5) Infantry now costs nothing in fuel, crystals and ore to build or sustain
6) Ranged now costs nothing in fuel, crystals and ore to build or sustain
7) Altan Mech’s chance of converting an enemy unit has been increased
8) Groth Mech’s plague attack now does twice as much damage per turn
9) Cha-ar Mech’s firebomb attack now does half as much damage per turn
10) Suicide Bomber had armor of 25 now has 15
11) Suicide Bomber had move range of 4 now has 5
12) Suicide Bomber attack damage now doubled
13) Battle Cruiser had move range of 5 now has 4
14) Five new space maps!

I should also add that this update includes the space and ground map editors so that you don't need to download and install them separately. It also updates part of the space map editor since the previous release. You'll still need the Java Runtime Environment to use the editors, but that's easily downloaded and installed from
www.java.com.
The update should be posted later tonight.
