I have a few games with no AAR (Bosun,Oleg,Ozy,Lee) (none of my Japanese opponents write AAR??? [X(] )

I'll write one after I beat you in that game. [:D]

(Of course for this game I'll write an AAR because that's the part of the initial deal.)

No need for us to play if you don't have the time. I am only considering this because Blackwatch has vanished. I am hoping that is related to vacation or some other good reason, but I have not heard from him in a couple of weeks so I am starting to wonder if I will hear from him at all.

I would write an AAR for this, if we do it I suggest you write a sketch AAR with just enough detail so that people can tell what you intend.

Something like:

January Primary objective is Russia and Singapore

Or

Plan for India delayed by Allied bombing of transport fleet

Or

Victory off Midway sets stage for invasion of Pearl Harbor

You don't have to say much but giving people a small idea of what your strategy is would make things more interesting all round.

Hi, The plan is simple. I intend to run amok. To gain auto victory Japan needs to score around 16k points while keeping the Allied player below 4k.
The major change for this game will be that I will not restrict my movements like I do in most games. (I stay inside air cover and so move forward very slowly)
Also in most games I am content to let the Allied player decide if we fight in China. In these games I am going to target the Chinese. In other games my opponents know from the start that I will not invade Karachi or San Fransico (I think it cheap to target enemy supply sources since I know they would still have supply in reality) Here I will take a cheap shot if I think I can get away with it.
In short No more "Mr Nice Mogami" for these games I will be " Mogami the Terrible"
(That "Meanest Japanese player" thread got me thinking that perhaps I am too nice. So I am going to see if I could be mean if I really wanted to.

I've been called many things, and usually justifiably so. But lunatic is a new one. [:'(]

I thought all IJN players were shooting for auto-victory. I certainly am every time I take up the Rising Sun. And I never play with any sort house rules even though I take the allies in most of my games. I have never bought into the conventional wisdom that it requires any special limitations on the Japanese to prevent an easy 4-to-1 victory. This series could go a long way toward settling that question of "balance".

P.S. It must be nice to be "retired" at your age and able to play WITP around the clock!

I agree, just look at the game I took over against PzB. Even with him taking India he just missed 4:1( not by much). So Japan has to inflict a huge amount of losses, take many, many high value bases and not lose much to get to that 4:1 ratio. Let japan do what they want and see what happens. I do not fear losing. [:D] See my sig for the only thing I do fear. [8D]

LOL I already decided to assume the role of general Buck Turgidson exclusively for this AAR... very fitting. Jack D. Ripper from the same movie would fit even better but then again - I'll leave that to Mogami (Jacko D. Riperawa-san), as Japanese commander in this game has to be crazier than his Allied countepart no matter how you slice it

Hi, It is coming along. I've started working on TF. (meaning I've finished giving LCU orders. )
The first night I worked for around 6 hours. At 2am the power went out and I had not saved. I began anew at 630am the power went out and I had not saved.
Now I save about every 3 minutes and there have been no power outages. (The first night was the night the big storm hit down south. All we had here was rain then thunder and lightning.
I could work faster if I had beer. Without beer I have to ponder everything. With beer I know instantly what to do and it's just a matter of keystrokes.
I should have it down by monday. (There will be over 100 TF by the time I'm done)
I still have to do airgroups. I have done production (I don't really change that except to build the ones that start size 0 or 1)
Bring beer!!!!
