I liked when the Polish Airborne Commander ask for written orders to drop on day three where he was told. The British officer replied "Are you certain you want written orders" the Polish commander replied " No, I dont need them, we will all be dead anyway" or something to that effect.

As I understand it the only thing that saved the poles was they were dropped on the allied side of the river rather then with the doomed British Division as originally planned.

Got your scenaro, Major. Did you post it at the Wargamer Depot? By all means do so.

My SPWAW moment, Captain Miller lands at Normandy, see blood and gore all around him, recovers from momentary shell-shock and answers the urgent pleading of a very frightened young private who shouts, "What is the rallying point?" The reply, gotta love it. "Anywhere but here!" A Very moving moment for me. I relive it often as I play and replay my little version of it done in SPWAW with single man units, Scenario 345
