When I play it is a mixture of A.I. and H2H. A lot depends on the time I have.

There is a total lack of game security in PBEM... I used to play PBEM a LOT, but found myself beaten by "uber players" far too often. They seemed to have amazing powers of recon.....................................
If I'm going to play PBEM again with this game Matrix needs to fix game turn security.

I used to play the campaign series exclusively PBEM. However, I now look forward to finding a "new life" in this series and finding my feet against the AI.
So, I would say percentage wise would now probably be 50/50.

AI against mod scenarios from the Blitz website.
Too easy to cheat in PBEM.
I tried a couple, but could tell that the other player was rerunning his turns.[;)]
His moves were "just too perfect".[;)]

I go through phases a couple of times I have played only HTH PBEM but when I'm not into doing that sometimes I like to play a scenario over and over again vs AI to see how fast I can do it. Other times I like to write scenarios and use the AI for testing. In the CS series the one I like the best for AI play is Rising Sun though I like it the least for HTH. I do not like the idea of network play because I do not like waiting for somone to do a move no human is as fast as the AI. When I Hot seat I start two diferent games on two computers so that we can each be doing a turn on a game instead of waiting for the other guy to finish his turn. When I PBEM I like to play a lot of small games at once.Interesting results, I wonder, for those that play the AI can you let us know why? Thanks!
Lol I used to do that also with commodore 64's and the SSI Gettysburg and Antietam games. Had two computers setup so we each were doing a turn and not having to twidle our thumbs while waiting on the other player to play. Was great, I won both of them too.
My friend was just never much good at computer wargames, but, he could beat me at chess 99 to 1 so we both got our wins in. RE: Quick Poll - AI vs H2H
