On the 10th of August, the Battle Force and Main Force converged on the Japanese invasion beach at Aparri. They wreaked a fair amount of havoc:

Many, many ships were reported sunk. The Japanese battleships that had been protecting the landing forces earlier were absent. Now we just have to get away while we can! I have almost no 16" ammo left..

The counterattack began on the ground, as well.

This latest turn didn't have any amazing action, but some important developments.

It appears that Battle Force and Scouting Force got away clean from Aparri, although we have a few stragglers. A couple of damaged Japanese transports were sunk by our S-boats in between the Philippines and Formosa this turn - in fact, the anchorage looks abandoned.

Biggest news: The Japanese have landed at undefended Suchow, turning Shanghai's flank. They have however hit multiple mines. Shanghai itself is still holding strong but it's only a matter of time.

Can't complain about no action or sunken ships in this AAR! Two questions: what's the hypothetical date this is taking place (1922? 1930? somwhere in between?), and what does the score look like?
