Have you tried uninstalling all COD stuff & reinstalling from the CD?
This should work - you remove all thats wrong & start again as new.

I did and 2.41 is now working fine, but would rather have 2.30 if 2.42 is not on the way. [;)]

So I guess if you really, really, want to play 2.30 you'd have to get 2.00 comprehensive patch (40 megs!), then 2.10, then 2.11, then 2.20 and finally 2.30...
This route doesn't work??
I would think it should....all a patch does is overwrite files that are already installed...
Maybe some registry key or something......sorry guys...[:(]

Well, nothing worked...still at 2.41. Am playing anyway, figure I will learn the system and hopefully the pilot bug will be fixed. Over two weeks and not a word from Matrix about exhanging my 2.41 disk for 2.30. I quess they don't value my business that much [&:]
At anyrate, it is a fun game and i have yet to run into the bug...but I am only playing the first couple of scenarios. [;)]

Hi, I only play scenario 19 and here's the short list of problems I discovered with 2.41 which I posted last April.
Scen. 19, playing as Japs, played 4 months of game:
1. Cannot receive Oscar replacements. I've only lost 3 aircraft total, but somehow I've "used" over 150! I'll lose one from one of my groups on the field every few turns too.
2. Got 30 Daves for replacement the first month, should've only got 7. Pete's aren't upgrading to Daves even though I have 60+ in the pool.
3. Cannot receive Pete replacements. Many ships in Rabaul port missing their full complement, even though showing 18 in the pool.
4. Pilot bug still not fixed.....I have several Mavis groups with 30+ pilots.
Scen. 19, playing as Allies, played 1 month of game:
1. Cannot receive Hudson replacements. One group on NZ Hudsons just arrive in Noumea with one plane! Much like the same bug affecting Oscars.
2. Replacement values don't match what the game actually shows. For example, I should get 60 F4s a month, but I'm showing 27 used and 19 in the pool after the first month.....where's the other 14? Almost every other plane available at the time shows similar screwy numbers that just don't add up.
The aircraft leaking gets worse as game time goes by...soon after all reinforcements show up with just a few planes...
But to be honest, I haven't checked out any of the other scenarios....haven't really had the desire to touch this game since 2.42B was released and introduced a new bug...
I am getting anxious to play again though...here's hopin' 2.42 Final Patch is close to release...[&:]

I have also been just playing some of the short scenarios becaue of the reports of the bugs in longer ones on version 2.41. I hope Matrix takes note of your comment, Audie, and makes it possible for new purchasers to run version 2.30 until a new patch comes out.
