Hummm if there is any such law, if it were even upheld, it probably would be through for any prosecution to have to pass a malice test, same as you simply cannot sue a paper for whats printed unless prove it was done with malice aforethought in some situtions..

Trolling is when you "annoy" someone, anyone, regardless of your intent. It's much like harassement. It's not what YOU intended, but, it is what the other person "percieves" you intended. Thus you are guilty from the start no matter what and then "intent to harasss or troll" must be proven in a court of law. It's also another one of those silly laws that will never go anywhere except in extreme cases of harassement towards a woman. It was written under that pretext for some American Woman Protection act. I guess women are just not able to not open an email online, they are sooooo nosey they just have to open that email that they KNOW is going to annoy them. I guess they also cannot add a person to their "IGNORE" feature of an instant messenger or in the case here take the GREEN Pill (meaning press the little green button by the annoying persons name).

The first constitutional right will ALWAYS precede ANY law when it is valid and in this case of this law it will be valid 99.9% of the time. As proven by the POLA case. You can say anything you want to, even to the point of persistantly and there's nothing the feds or government can do to you about it. The POLA case proved that case in point by an overwhelming majority.

On the other hand if you "stalk" someone say online, follow them from forum to forum or specifically call them out every forum you follow them to, then you could be part of that .01% that could come face to face with this new law. It's not to say others won't come face to face with it, but, the cases will either be thrown out or overturned as per the first amendment rights of free speech.

Now if only we could get them to make a law providing constitutional rights on forums, heh, then I might take a go at Paradox forums. That'll probably be next on the agenda down the road as these teenagers turn into our political adults and they will remember these gestapo moderated forums and make a new law so they can't delete or ban anyone for speaking their minds.

Thats like saying you have the legal right to enter my house even though I say otherwise. Not likely to happen.

The day the government crosses that line ... will be the end ... bad enough that a criminal can sue you if you shoot him while he breaks into your house [8|]

But, it's coming Mr. Fragg it's coming. hehe You do know that big brother is coming and already here in many cases don't you? He's already in your home. Right there on your computer, watching you when he sees fit. Recording your every word...don't believe me? Do a search on your posts by your login name, you will find every word still logged into a data base. Even Matrixgames is part of Big Brother don'tcha know?
